Unfortunately the tuna steak was overcooked, and salty. However the octopus over the tile was pretty good. Prices are inviting, thou.

Loved the location on a cobblestone alley away from the crowd but within 1 block of the Sao Bento station. Very good attentive and friendly service. The fish (flounder) dinner was tasty and filling, with roast potatoes, fresh tomatoes, and free bread basket. The green sauce (oil based) was yummy. And the red wine was good and only 1 euro!

For the cheap price the meals were great but simple, enough to choose from, came out reasonably fast and the waiter was very friendly, so impressed with the price of Sangria we could get 2 jugs for the price that we had been paying for one at other restaurants in Porto. If you want a decent meal for a cheap... More

It is a great restaurant with bang for your buck and delicious food. I ordered the fillet octopus (which was lightly battered) which was so tender. It was served with a side of lettuce salad. My partner had the monkfish rice which was a generous portion and he loved it. The service was also great.

Very kind waiter. He was alone and had to deal with many tables on his own. The food was simple but good. They offered a special beer made in Porto which was a LOT better than the only beer you can get at most restaurants: Super Bock or Sagres.

A very simple restaurant in a dead end street centrally located. Closed on Sunday. The food was good value for money. Friendly staff.

What I really enjoyed about Novo Paris is that it provides rather decent Portuguese dishes at very affordable prices. Moreover, I think it is one of the few restaurants in Porto that has rooms for really big groups, so it's a keeper!

At the moment the houses around are under construction respectively refurbishing so the restaurant is a bit hard to find. But it's worth to go there. We had grilled Veal and grilled Dorade both with garlic. Cooking style is simple but yummy. We can also recommend the cod fish cake and the garlic bread. Wide selection of Portugal local vines... Came here as we couldn't get a table next door and glad we did. Sardines to start were excellent. Both fish and meat mains were good. Not so sure about the chocolate mousse.

When I couldn't get a table at Flores dos Congregates , at Rau das Congregates, (its across from the station down a narrowed alleyway, building work covers it but temporary signs in place). we went two doors down, diagonally (H.Potter reference) and for those who find it, you will be rewarded at Nova Paris. Good atmosphere, great food (sea bass... More
