Codfish tastes awful. Be aware that you should pay separately for the bread and butter served besides the food!

This restaurant was near our hotel and we ended up eating there two of our three nights in Porto, because it was so good. Great food, great atmosphere, and service.
This fine restaurant was just across the street from our hotel, the Tryp Centro. The food was excellent as was the wine. Try the sea bass. Simply the best we've ever had. Service is unhurried but attentive and the prices are reasonable.
A great find on Rua de Alegria, just a few steps from our rental apartment! Homemade food in a simple setting. A must.
