Restaurant close to Acropolis and the ancient Roman market. Nice place, but so touristic. I am not sure, but I think is better for breakfast and coffee (nice view) not for food..

This isn't nice at all. The restaurant has a good location but that's about it. We were a huge group and we were all not happy with our food. It was pre-heated maybe from the day before, the bread was toasted just because it was old too, i guess. If you are super lucky your bread got picked by pigeons... More

The food my friends and I had hete doesn't deserve any praise. It was the most disappointing Greek food we had during our stay in Athens and the wait staff was just terrible. There's a ton of better restaurants nearby-- definitely skip this one!

We stopped here during some free roaming time during a cruise ship tour. The greek salad starter was immense and so authentic. We then enjoyed some local greek beers and wines during our filling main. The price was as expected (not too bad).

We visited this restaurant to eat souvlaki with gyros. The service was good but any of us didn't enjoy the food. The meat had a lot of fat and it was very oily. Also the glasses were dirty and it was so disgusting to drink from them... Noone had finished his food let alone we were hungry. I'm Greek and... More

Nice food, excellent coffee. Although it is a "turistic" restaurant, the service and the dishes are excellent. I enjoyed a cold espresso cafe, unbelivable good. Best value for money.

We had one day in Athens, and the tour dropped us on in this busy location. We passed several similar restaurants, but this one had the menu we liked and looked like it was filled with both locals and tourists. We saw a couple of the tour guides eating there and figured we could do worse. We had a lovely... More

There are a million better options than this place. Stopped to use the bathroom and decided to have s bite. Gross! Chicken gyro was cold, sent back was no better...tzaki was fair...drinks were the only plus of this place!

The vine leaves were appalling, and the moussaka was barely passable. Add that to the terrible service and the overpricing, if say to not waste your time!

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
