This place is located by the Athens Metropolis within walking distance from Syntagma square. The view is mainly the church square. Very nice ambience inside, with discrete décor, has comfortable seats, spotless table cloths and fantastic service. We enjoyed out meal and the wine and as the portions were generous we did not manage finish everything. Order modestly.. and reorder... More

Excellent Cretan food, especially the meat dishes, meat, chicken, lamb... all are excellent. Christos, the owner's son is an excellent person and host. He personally takes care of hosts. Good value for money. Great variety of drinks, very good service. Good salads and desserts. In a quiet and pedestrian street.

Went here on a friend's recommendation. Had the Greek sampler for two which could have easily fed 4! This was our first meal in Greece and we were so pleased we chose it to be our last before we departed two weeks later. Great service - wonderful food and the live singers and music was so special. A quiet authentic... More

Dinner was good, nothing to complain about. We ate outside while music was played by singer and another guy on the citer. Very nice. Servants were friendly.

Had a meal here one night, looked like it should have been good but service was poor. My wife ordered a started which they totally forgot. We waited well over an hour for our main course. When we questioned where the started was they apologised and offered us a plate of marinated fish (not what we wanted) It wasn't as... More

We wandered out of our hotel in search of a light snack before dinner, after missing lunch, but ended up with two big plates full of delicious food! We ate outside on the charming covered patio overlooking a charming square with a church in the Plaka neighborhood. We enjoyed saganaki, grilled octopus and chicken skewers. The chicken skewers were accompanied... More

Very good location, but those looking for quality food would be better off elsewhere. The stuffed veggies were not at all tasty, only stuffing!!

Nice looking place, but a complete rip off, hidden charges on the bill, poor value for money, there are more than 2'000 better restaurants in Athens.

Had lunch with nice grilled vegetables and grilled octopus (22 euro). One meagre tentacle. Asking about the minimal portion waiter responded with disdain. No value for money.

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
