We were attracted to this place because we wanted more natural/homemade ingredients instead of processed junk. We ordered 2 pieces of the Red Velvet cake and it was delicious! Not overly sweet or fake tasting. We would recommend!

Love this place! It was raining outside, and we found this sweet shelter. The owner was really busy but he is friendly and helpful. We stayed here for a red velvet, a cup of organic tea, a cup of cappuccino latte. Inside this cafe, there is long red sofa which is very comfy, and this place is cozy to have... More

My friend and I were just passing by and wanted to eat a dessert, when we saw Chemin. It was its charm and awesome-looking food that caught our attention. Everything looked so delicious that we didn't know what we wanted to eat! So we ordered a red velvet cake and a cheesecake (our favourites) and it was pure HEAVEN!!! And... More

It was a nice sweet surprise to find "Chemin Cafe" in our way in Athens ! It is a small cozy place where me and my friend had a delicious cheesecake and a wonderful carrot cake. The music is calm and the servants are very polite and easy going. If you go to teh Acropole , stop there !!!

Looks nice and clean. We had 2 traditional pitta and 2 fruit juices. It was great, the service was quick but the cafe was not so busy. The cost of the above €13.60 Nice break while in the Syntagma Square area.

This is a small cozy cafe which also serves light dishes - everything feels homemade. The people that run it seem genuinely nice and warm, there is no great variety but you get a true feeling for food and people in contrast to the other places around there which most are touristic and rip off!!

Staying in Syntagma

Neighbourhood Profile
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
