The place was across from my accommodation so just sat down to have a quick brunch before sightseeing and I regretted the decision. It was Sunday around noon, most of the other places were closed and this place terrace was completely empty but we sat...More

A "historic place" glorious in the past terrible in the present! Everything we ordered was well below average, poor quality and stuck in the past...in a bad way. Better choose something else

The place does have a glorious past but the present is decadence. Some groups of old ex celebrities cannot save it, when the food is just average and the service close to poor.

Stopped for a lovely lunch in the square. Moussaka was great. They don't serve all the specials everyday but were quick to point this. Well worth a stop if you are passing.

Our group was exploring and came across this amazing restaurant. They had an entire square set up for outdoor seating, the servers were entertaining and the food was delicious. Stelios took great care of us and his level of customer care is impressive - everyone...More

Dirty toilets, kitchens and glasses. Only 2 or 3 dishes available within a menu with 20 dishes. Not an experience to repeat.

The first impression while entering the restaurant was like being in the Greece of 60's (for what I can tell from the cinema movies...) The decoration is a bit heavy but not at a point that becomes annoying. Was very pleased with the service (professional...More

The elongated Panathenaic Stadium, built for the first
modern Olympic Games in 1896, acts as grand gateway to

The historic restaurant "Magemenos Avlos " which was founded in 1961, and was recently redecorated awaits for you every evening, serving its known quality and delicious taste of food. It is considered as one of the most famous restaurants in Athens bringing plenty of memories of Manos Hatzidakis and the terrible gang of well known artists and other famous men of art.
