Simply do not waist your time and money to go to this place. No value for money. Very miserable. Feels dirty. No menu -you can choose to drink ONLY Sangria....nothing else. No bottled water. No refreshments. Food....poor...what a waist....only rice with sth...he (the owners) "calls" it paella ..... then some starters ("aparadekta"=unacceptable in Greek) like cheeses with this and that...... More

After my recent trip to Barcelona, I decided to visit this place to spread the memory. The atmosphere was authentic, they had a duet playing that night, a guitar player and a singer, which was really nice. The man who served the food was very kind so we had the best first impression. We order the "queso" plate for starter... More

Very small restaurant in a quiet location. The service was quick but the food was very average. We ordered two "paellas", one with meat and the other with seafood (one shrimp and two mussels). Both dishes were full of rice, and seemed to be prepared the day before. The salad was good and the sangria was just ok.

Paella Barcelona is one of the cutest spanish restaurants in the center of Athens, Kolonaki area. the owners are a very kind and friendly couple with the greatest Spanish accent. I recommend Paella Barcelona without hesitation.

Nothing to do with what you have in mind for this Spanish food. Served in a small dish full of rice (they don't even use the right one for paella) with 2 small shrimps and one mussel (we got seafood), but also the couple at the next table ordered with meat and vegetables didn't have more success. Sangria, perhaps was... More

Staying in Pangrati

Neighbourhood Profile
Pangrati
The elongated Panathenaic Stadium, built for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, acts as grand gateway to the otherwise purely Athenian neighborhood of Pangrati. This area of typical small squares, busy main roads and residential streets will give you a clear sense of what living in this metropolis is like. A walk up quiet Markou Mousourou Street on the west side of the stadium will bring you past the First National Cemetery to Mets, home to many expats. Turn right to reach the charming Platia Varnava. East of the stadium, commercial Eratosthenous Street leads to rather nondescript Platia Plastira, from where Effranoros Street continues uphill to Platia Profiti Ilia, crowned by a huge church. Among the standard four- to six-story apartment blocks that typify Athens, Pangrati also boasts some genuinely authentic tavernas and the odd trendy bar.
