We went there on a weekday evening early to eat.Mommy is located at a pedestrian walk with a few tables outside (I imagine that is very romantic in the summer). The interior sitting area is divided in two, with an area for a drink and the sitting area with comfortable chairs and big tables to eat. The steps were lighted by... More

This place has a wonderful ambiance. Tucked away on a neighborhood street in Athens, this place had great cocktails and service. The bartender knows how to mix his drink, and you have to sit outside to fully appreciate the bar and balmy Athens evening. The manager, Abraham is also pretty cool.

Excellent service. Good recommendations from waiter. Nice desserts. Fantastic cocktails but a bit pricey. Would recommend.

A nice bar restaurant, fortunately the weather was hot for April, so we were able to sit outside. Nice music, not loud ( due to outdoor sitting), good service. We had wine, one glass of each red, white, rose and they were all good ! I would go definitely back when I'm back in Athens

Recently went to Mommy for a girls night out.. There were six of us and we sat on a large high table which is located at the entrance of the restaurant and as high stools. Suprisingly it was very comfortable. The night started off nicely, the staff were pleasant, though we did not have one waiter assigned to us and... More

We were on our way back home from our first visit with our fourth grand child and my wife suggested to stay and have a couple of beers in Mommy - just 200m away from home. After all we needed some light alcohol to help us rejoice as much as possible this unique experience. Mommy has a very modern but... More

I'm not a fan of smoky bars with really loud music, so I rarely if ever go to Mommy in the winter when I must sit indoors. In the summer it offers a lovely outdoor seating area in the front. If you are just there for a drink there are stools, and for eating there are proper tables. The food... More

Staying in Exarchia

Neighbourhood Profile
Exarchia
Exarchia is in many ways Athens’ best-kept secret, discovered by relatively few international visitors. Located behind the main University and Polytechnic buildings, it is unsurprisingly home to many students, intellectuals and politicos. This is reflected in the area’s vibrant street art and graffiti, which seems to cover almost every inch of wall space. Some of the best Athenian tavernas are located here, as well as its most alternative bars and underground music venues. You'll find political bookshops and quirky stores here, yet it is also a neighborhood inhabited by families and older folk. On Saturdays, punks and grandmothers alike head for Kallidromiou Street, nestled below Strefi Hill, to pick up fresh produce at the traditional laiki agora (street market).
