Excellent food and servcie. Very good tartare (the best i have eaten), good portions and nice wine. Lovely ambience especially for the summer. A bit expensive but it's worth.

Have been going for over 20 years simply the best restaurant in Athens. Try the tartar they make the best Tartar in Athens. Unfortunately the supposedly second best French restaurant Blue Pine is nowhere near. The sole is also excellent and you should absolutely try the CoteDazur salad.

Old fashioned food. Badly cooked Milanese. Very expensive for the quality provided. Service good. Not recommended for friends.

This time the problem was the food. The staring dishes were blunt (asparagus with mousline, french onion soup), the main dishes much below usual and the creme brule really poor. Maybe a different chef? Maybe different suppliers? Service was ok, though I would say rather slow. Remaining with a bitter impression that the restaurant values only specific clients.

We went for official dinner and had, soup, cafe de Paris beef fillet a very nice salad and the best red wine. it was fabulous, quiet and very international. This is a charming, excellent small gourmet restaurant with personalized service of the best quality and great location, only difficult to walk there. Best clientele. This is one of the best... I had lunch here on a delightfully sunny Sunday afternoon and it was a "just right" lengthy Sunday Summer lunch with excellent staff who were professional, quietly attentive and enthusiastic about the food. The atmosphere in the tree shaded courtyard is marvellous and the crisp white tablecloths, silver service and attentive service all combined to make this an indeal place... More

I had dinner with a friend at this nice restaurant. Very professional staff, generous portions, good dish but not haute-cuisine . Rather expensive for what we had but then again I always forget to add the service and the 24 % tax. Although the dinner in the beautiful garden was a plus, I would prefer trying other restaurants.

Nice garden in the center of Athens. A very good idea for a hot night out. Good quality original French cuisine. The environment however is rather old fashioned, such were the waiters as wrll

It is one of the most “classy” restaurants in Athens with a long history and a faithful clientele. Indeed the interior ambience has style (silver candelabras on the crispy linen tablecloths) and the service is attentive and helpful. However the meals are disappointing. What is supposed to be genuine French cuisine turns out to be a poor imitation. Serving (industrially... More

When entering, the smell of the old carpets declares the style; silverware on the tables tries to spell posh. Just, that it is not working as supposed: the escargôt was ok. The asparagus were boiled (!) and tasteless even with the sauce, the steak tartare was not "the best in Athens" as advertised by others (meat was likely blendered) but... More

Staying in Kolonaki / Lykavittos

Neighbourhood Profile
Kolonaki / Lykavittos
By far the ritziest neighbourhood in town, Kolonaki is home to most of the chic boutiques and designer label stores. Here, the wealthy say no to austerity by dressing in their finest and spending hours in the trendy cafés around Kolonaki Square, sipping the most expensive coffee in Europe. The area also contains a couple of notable museums and cultural institutions, which add to the air of nobility. The leafy upper reaches of Kolonaki transition into Lykavittos Hill, the highest point in central Athens. Climb the paths through its wooded slopes to the tiny chapel at the top, from where you are rewarded with stunning views across the Acropolis to the sea and even the mountains of the Peloponnese on a clear day. The wooden amphitheater up here hosts regular concerts during the summer.
