We came across Semiramis while walking through the alleyways in Chania, the pretty outdoor setting drew us in for lunchtime. Our salad, zucchini fritters, and other meze were tasty, and very generous portions were served. The service staff were attentive and respectful. Raki and dessert were provided for us at the end of our meal. Their small store, Semiramis cellar,... More

Many other old town restaurants in Chania try to drag you in kicking and screaming. NOT HERE. The Semiramis was is a respectful and discerning restaurant offering very good food with an authentic Cretan experience. Perhaps a bit more expensive, but with good reason and worth the extra.

Unfortunately we were drawn by the nice atmosphere and surroundings into the restaurant. The food looks and tastes like something heated in the microwave, styled a little bit and served. The pork meat was covered by a greasy and fat sauce to cover the tasteless meat. The mousaka tasted and looked like it came directly from a frozen package. The... More

My husband and I stumbled upon this place after a long morning of walking on the beach. We had the stuffed peppers and tomatoes, baked feta, and roasted veg and sausage and it was amazing - by far our best meal since we arrived in Chania (and we love to eat). All in with drinks it came to 29 euro... More

We were looking for a place to have a soft dinner, as we are eating too much this days, first in Santorini now in Crete, so we found this nice place, we ordered small fish, one salad and fried aubergines... again too much food for us 😅but all delicious...I must go to the gim in my return to Barcelona! And... More

This is a restaurant that draws you in - beautifully laid out and charming surroundings. The staff are friendly and very attentive. We always eat here when in Chania and it never disappoints. They have live music every night and this adds to the atmosphere. The only disappointment is that it might be closed if we visit early in the... More

I visit this restaurant at least once every time I visit Chania (often the first and last day). Great Greek atmosphere. Live Greek music (not too loud) service is good. The food has never disappointed me, it's the best I eat in Chania. Lam I really recommend. If you want some good Greek food, authentic atmosphere, go there. You will... More
