The best veg food I've ever had, very tasty, everything was fresh. Service was excellent. I highly recommend.

This is our sixth spring vacation in Chania . To Stachi is part of our vacation on a daily basis (about 2 weeks). It is definitely a major part of the reason why we keep choosing Chania. We have made friends and met quite a few people at to Stachi who feel and do the same. We have never had... More

I couldn't believe what I ate. Authentic Crete food - vegan. Organic. And locally produced. Wow. It was so tasty. I came here every evening I was in chania. The staff is super super nice. It's a family run business. Definitely unique! Awesome. Go there!

As vegetarians we always research what restaurants are available when we travel. In Crete it is pretty easy to eat a vegetarian diet but it is our preference to seek out those establishments that have made vegetarian cooking their modus operandi. I generally check trip advisor too; everywhere has at least a couple of negative reviews, as does To Stachi,... More

WE had a nice vegetarian meal, plum soup, spinach tart, sauté of artichoke, beans and potatoes, vegetarian lasagnas; the service was friendly with a lecture of the Chef on the menu, the waiter and waitress were outstandingly courteous and smiling, then the nightmare occurred: 3 minutes after leaving the place, our stomachs unexpectedly swollen, our abdomen was like an over... It's been said of customer service that you often buy the person before the product. That's what you get in all the restaurants I tried along the harbour. A sales pitch then poor food. To Statchi is a completely different experience. Hidden away behind the tourist strip this is a real gem. Father and daughter greet you on arrival and... More

This vegetarian restaurant was perfect in every respect; the variety of dishes, the quality and taste of the food and the friendly and efficient service.

one of the very few veg*n restaurants in Crete, well worth a visit. they seem to be using only local and in season ingredients. there are local specialities and more recognisable dishes (like pasta with garlic) for those who are afraid to experiment with Greek cuisine. dishes may seem humble (spinach and potato) but pack a powerful tasty punch. and... We went to Stachi not to eat veggie but to have a true taste of the Cretan cuisine. We were not disappointed and every dish was not only well cooked, but we could clearly feel the freshness of the product. We tried several dishes including eggplants, pumpkin, small tarts, the traditionnal stuffed wine leaves and a variant with zucchina flowers... More

… I like eating meat and meat products and fish …just as much as you do ;) But I’m open to new sensations ;). we were practically alone in the place and got the full service from the owner, Stelios. Yes, some of the plates on the menu weren’t available, but that is not a downside, This is how you... More
