A traditional medieval-like restaurante in the heart of the old city of Rethymnon. The tastes were excellent, the variety of dishes large, the hospitality excellent, good english speaking waitors, very clean. In one word: DELICIOUS! We would definitely go there again, whenever we are in Rethymnon! Jean-Claude

This is a charming restaurant with many pluses. The setting is pretty with many interesting details. The service is friendly and the meal was paced just right. The Roca Salad was a great choice--fresh greens, sweet cherry tomatoes, local cheese, rusks, with a delicious vinegar and honey dressing. The seafood pasta was very good and the pasta with smoked meats... More

We had a great evening meal here (we're vegetarian) Fresh local food cooked well and served in a modern style so it looks good on the plate Staff were very friendly and helpful Only downside was that - like everywhere else in Greece - they don't bother enforcing the ban on smoking in public places

The outside eating area is beautiful and the staff is welcoming. They were happy to serve me a half portion appetizer as I was alone. I can't say enough about the lamb chops! Best I have ever had!

This was the first restaurant we went to in Rethymnon and we returned twice more in a week. Every meal was totally delicious, superbly cooked and excellent value - I would highly recommend the lamb chops in honey and thyme. Staff were really friendly and made you feel part of the family.

These folks really know how to cook a fish and pork for that matter. Appetizers were excellent too. Service was fantastic. Lovely inside.

We had dinner at this small restaurant hidden in a quiet side road of the Rethymnon old town. Most tables are in the yard of an old house and ventilators take care of a refreshing breeze during hot nights. The proposed dishes are creations of a talented young Chef, Simos, (whom we had the chance to meet and congratulate). They... More

Description
The restaurant is on the site where once stood a Venetian building which was linked to the residence on the south side through a doorway. It is believed that where the covered dining area stands was once a large storeroom and animal stable. The dining courtyard was indeed a courtyard and animal feeding area. In 2003 the chef and owner Harris Pavlakis decided to open the restaurant. The restaurant serves traditional local and greek dishes with local products and provides a friendly and romantic atmosphere. Our restaurant is certificated for Cretan Cuisine from The Greek Academy Of Taste and has won 2 gold medals one in the 9th contest of Cretan Traditional Cooking and the other in the 6th contest of Cretan Traditional Cooking.
