This tavern has something for everyone, not to mention an idyllic setting. Food tasty and plentiful! Wish we had discovered it earlier in our trip.

Next to the sandy beach of Molos a lovely little restaurant with a balcony overlooking the Aegean. Very good food from a long menu, presented ,hand written, in an exercise book that also gives you the history of the place. Good service, excellent ouzo by the carafe and very reasonably priced.

George, the owner, is a great guy and a great cook! The place is typical of a Greek island, with a white-blue balcony on the beach, with great view of the sea. You can loose track of time there, enjoying your drink and looking at the sky meeting the water. Every plate is original, tasty, fresh, and George has a... More

The food was mediocre, the waiters bored and rude, the mosquitos a-plenty and the small kids all around uncontrollable. All in all, the worst dinner I had in Skyros.

This is a really nice place. Located in front of the sea, you can see a big part of the island. The atmosphere is that of a classic Greek tavern. Really loved the food and the free desert. You can taste all Skyro's traditional food here.

This is the tavern we had our first lunch when we arrived in Skyros. At first I didn't realise how expensive the place was because I was used to prices I usually pay at home, but after a week in Skyros I believe the place is expensive. Also, the service is mediocre at best, but the waiters sometimes are really... More

Although the food was alright taste-wise, it was too expensive, especially by Skyrian standards and the owners together with their stuff were completely unprofessional. They spoilt our birthday event by being rude and negligent. It's a real shame because the spot is nice and under different management (especially the woman at the till is extremely awful and impolite and so... More

We were at Skyros at the beginning of June at our Honeymoon. We went at "Istories tou Barba" every day. George is a perfect Cook and a very friendly Host. The menu has George's personal touch. His ideas and taste at cooking are great. Do not miss local paste with sea food. If you don't know what you want to... More
