Unforgettable gastronomic experience!

Me and my partner had dinner at the Ammos Veranda Restaurant, which is located at the Ammos Hotel. Despite it being dark, the view and overall atmosphere was unique and very romantic. The staff recommended some of the dishes, such as the traditional leeks and fish roe mousse and we are very glad we took their advice as they all delicious, with an added twist. We also tried the fresh seabass with almond crust, served with estragon sauce, which was trully amazing. An interesting wine list to complete our dinner date experience. Definitely recommend it if you want to try traditional tastes in a chilled, atmospheric environment!

A wonderful restaurant, a magical view and fantastic dishes!

We loved the whole menu! The setting is magnificent, calm and intimate. The service is lovely and attentive. The chef is very talented, the typical Greek dishes are revisited and sublimated! Small card, so fresh! We hope to benefit from new offerings of unique dishes during our stay...because we are staying 2 weeks and this restaurant is an invitation to "come back", because it is very different from the restaurants in the area (typical inn or trendy bar)!! Ps: For our last day the chef offered us a special menu, to discover other typical flavors. We loved it!! Thank you again for this beautiful moment!! We loved the whole menu! The panoramic view, the welcoming and polite service and the great tastes brought us back to Veranda Restaurant 3 times during our stay in Skyros. The calm and modern environment with the lounge music and light colors is an extra reason for a lovely and enjoyable evening. Ask for their special pasta dish they created for their 10 year anniversary, the salmon and any pie they offer. Overall the chef knows what she’s doing and the cuisine will make you happy. A decent wine list is available to complete your dinner experience

Unique experience!

Ammos Veranda Restaurant is a hidden gem. The environment is amazing, balancing the modern and traditional styles perfectly. The food is delicious, especially the rib-eye and the mushroom risotto. Highly recommended!

Dinner at ammos

We ordered 3 plates, for starter an octopus with white tarama which was nice but the tarama mous was way more than it should have been comparing with the octopus A salmon dish where, unfo salmon was overcooked and burnt on the edge.. And the tagliata with skioufixta which was a disaster.. It was supposed to be medium but instead it was well done and very chewy.. Plus 2 colas and a beer arnd 75 euros.. For sure it wasn't a value for money choice..

The restaurant has opened its doors 3 years ago offering meditterenean and local gastronomy and we are proud to own a place among the best traditional cuisine in the island. We are always striving to please our guests in the best way possible and we value all feedback. We are honoured to have in our team this year Mrs Bellita, an exceptional Chef who created this year's menu, inspired from local products, combining Meditterenean gastronomical techniques. For example, the above mentioned dish of 'Fish roe mousse with grilled octopus' presents the mousse of white tarama as the main 'player' accompanied by pieces of grilled octopus as well as homemade breadsticks. We are trully sorry that you did not enjoy to the fullest our dishes and hopefully we will have the chance to welcome you back for a better dinner experience. Sincerely, The Ammos Veranda team

Dining wise, Ammos Veranda Restaurant is really good. The atmosphere at this restaurant is really nice at an excellent spot on the Skyros island with view and staff just awesome!! We have been visiting the Skyros island since 2011 and for the third year we had a wonderful experience at Ammos Hotel in Skyros.

Ammos Veranda Restauarant made for an unforgettable dining experience

I was visiting the area on business and decided to try this restaurant because it seemed to have great reviews and the photos of the hotel looked beautiful so I tried it. I was greeted by very friendly and professional staff, and ate by the most beautiful view I’ve seen so far on the island. You get the view of the sea and the hillside as well as the beach and sourounding mountains. It was unforgettable and the service was very professional and quick. My food came out and it was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, Greek dining experience. The views alone from the veranda are well worth a visit. Definitely will be coming back before I leave.

Ammos Veranda Restaurant was amazing!

Dinner at the beautiful Ammos Veranda Restaurant was amazing! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the lamb was the best we have had while living here in Greece. Side dishes and salads were fresh, delicious and artfully prepared. The upper dining terrace has a beautiful view of the sea and is designer inspired. We highly recommend everything there is to enjoy at the Ammos!

Best for Dinner and Drinks

We stayed in Skyros five days and tried a number of the local tavernas/restaurants and cafes for drinks and this was our favourite. Would gladly go back there again. Food is fresh and modern Greek/international and the drinks, cocktails and wine were tasty.
