Good but needs some minor changes

We tried lobster pasta for 3, but unfortunately the pasta was overcooked and not enough for 3 people. Their local bottled ouzo was not good at all and I wouldn't recommend it. The rest of the dishes were ok, but not extraordinary. They offer complimentary desserts, ice cream and fruits!

Excellent place and very good service, one of the best in Skiros Island. The quality and quantity of the food is good but the prices are higher than the other restaurants in the island, so value for price is not the best in Skiros. The jar of the house wine had metabisulfite sentiments in the bottom- not much of a problem really, but it is gives a “minor”

Excellent upscale seafood tavern

Excellent upscale tavern. First of all, service is great, dishes, forks, knives all restaurant level. We ordered delicious anchovies, crab salad (with lime?), potatoes, salad and ouzo 25 eur/person including free of charge soup served in espresso cups and dessert 🍩 🍨 🍉. We would visit again to try the lobster 🦞 which looks amazing. PS their dog (German shepherd) is lovely!

Pretentious place, The food is not good : the fish soup seems to be made of flour, with some pieces of fish floating. The keftedes were not good. And the bamies were definitely some days old. So we ate very little and fled the place. And : They put some (awful) non asked for white wine on every table, which then appears on the bill...

Best dining experience in my life

We came her for a large family dinner. We didn’t order anything from the menu just asked for a complete dinner and it turned out to be the beat dining experience I have ever had. The starters, lobesters for main course and the desserts were all absolutely fantastic. The restaurant has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, nothing like a top michelin style restaurants. The dishes also weren’t made to look like art. They were made for taste. And the taste has rocked me to my core. Every meal is done or approved by Mama Frosini. The mastermind behind all these dishes. The price was also very reasonable considering the amount of food we had. Lobsters are surely a signature dish here but everything else is also fantastic. I could have stayed just with the homemade bread. I truly believe this was one of the best dinners I have ever had and will surely return again, maybe with my kids and start a tradition!

Best food in Skyros

Restaurant is in a great location next to the sea. We went there at sunset time and scenery was magnificent. The owner welcomed us and he was charming and friendly thoughout the time. Food was excellent. Propably the best we ate in skyros. We ordered a lobster pasta and a fish soup and both were very tasty. Fish soup was a recomendation of the owner and totally worth it. At the end of our dinner they brought us a liquer shot and 2 sweets (ice cream and traditional pancakes) from the house. It was an amazing experience.

Every mouthful was a new and excellent surprise. Topped off by their signature “lobster pasta” which was packed to the brim with super fresh lobster meat. Ask for Manoles, he will make sure your evening is perfect 👌

Must visit restaurant if you visit the island. Most people come for lobsters or fish but please don't hesitate to try other Greek traditional recipes from the wood oven. Say hello to an excellent host, Manos and be friends in seconds.

Unacceptable service and prices, very small portions and unacceptable behavior. We visited this particular restaurant on Clean Monday, we had notified that we would be a group of 40 people, the wait was 2 hours to eat. The food was barely tolerable, the portions very small And the treatment of the restaurant workers was unacceptable towards us.

We visited the place as a group of 6 on a Sunday afternoon during apokries (greek carnival) after having done a reservation. There would be live music. After arriving, we realised that the place was overbooked. The distance between chairs was tiny and we couldnt all fit in the table. Following this, the menu was set (even though we were not informed over the phone) and the price set at 30€ per person. Even though it was clearly written on the menu that per 4 persons you would get 2 salads, 4 appetizers, 4 different meat plus fries, bread and wine, they served the same in our group of 6. The portions were so tiny that we felt robbed. When we complained (along with so many other people that complained), the waiter said that thats all we would get. On the other hand the owner said we would get some extra meat which actually never arrived. This is not greek hospitality and it is a shame having such a behaviour. I hope you feel happy with our money and thanks for destroying our day. We felt robbed and left the place hungry.

Disappointment!

Unfortunately we went on the recommendation of friends and were disappointed. The service is slow and the owner is rude to the staff and allegedly friendly to the customers. We ordered lobster pasta and we got frozen lobster with anosti sauce and cut spaghetti. Unacceptable! We asked for a portion of plain spaghetti for the kids and when I tried it I spat it out as it was stale. Away !

I'll never forget the "Forgotten Goat"

This is definitely an upscale establishment although you can feel comfortable here without overdressing. The level of service is amazing and the menu is extensive. We dined here 2 evenings and my favorite was the Forgotten Goat while my wife enjoyed fabulous calamari and zucchini something or other. The food was delicious, the service unhurried and pleasant and the owner who reports to Mama (the real boss) in the kitchen, is gracious and kind. A great place to enjoy a meal and the evening.

Too bad for nothing!!!

The first night we went to this particular restaurant, they suggested it to us, for the cooked food and fish. We got fish soup (1 portion), tasty but the fish inside was disappearing. The calamari, the fried cod, pita in oil, a little better the shrimps (small portions). We also ordered the local ladopita, which came to us cut into pieces and cold, indifferent. The behavior of the manager (shopkeeper!!), was like being a salesman in the 80's, the waiter (very good service), dehydrated because he was the only one!!! In the end, when they wanted us to pay, we had to wait in line at the counter for the person in charge to do the work and remove the suit....ours came out to 80 euros!!! Too expensive for the quality and quantity!!!!!

Fish soup unsalted and insipid, as if I tried veloute potato soup with a few pieces of frozen fish. lobster pasta I got a plate of two pieces of frozen lobster and a sauce without any taste of the sea, the spaghetti was cut. I asked for a portion of plain spaghetti for the child and I got spaghetti No. 6 unboiled, uncooked, and at least boiled 1-2 days before. I tried one bite and spit them out. The charge was like spaghetti with minced meat.

The services offered wanting to serve a 5 member family were the least disappointed! Among the dishes we selected was the roof soup which was presented as one of the best day dishes that the store could offer you! In fact the result was to serve 4 small bowl size at an extremely higher price compared to the dish that reached our table while unfortunately for our bad luck there was no trace of fish! Additionally, the fact of charging a blanket at 2 euros is unacceptable, which is one of the events that disappointed us since one of our family members is quite young and obviously not justified to be charged as a person who eats enough to consume the corresponding amount of bread! In conclusion, it was one of the shops whose residents do not rank as one of the best while we as a family were incredibly disappointed and to some extent hungry! I ⁇ do not recommend it while I think there are more options and more economical than the quality of food they offer you!
