Wen't out for shopping in Aarhus, the place to be in 2017, not only because of the culinary movement in this little city but Aarhus will be hosting the European capital of culture 2017. Lecoq a little nice french bistro with a small delightful menu. My wife and I with our daughter (5years) visited this place for lunch. They had... More

Ordered the LeCoq creative 3 course menu and wasn't disappointed. The main course was tasty and delicious, with a very good presentation. Quantity a little on the low side, wished there was more of it :-) The rubarbar dessert was superb. Especially the espresso ice cream was definitely gorgeous. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Service superb, explaining dishes and... More

Very good food quality (I had the duck), good french wine (Sancerre), friendly staff, classic music, nice French decoration. Good location too, in the heart of the city. The experience is worth the price (and I'm French so I know what I'm talking about).

During gastroweek we had the opportunity to eat at Cafe le Coq and have 4 courses for only 250,-! We had 4 excellent dishes! Especially the pumpkin soup and the main course was excellent! We had wine and chartreuse and excellent service! The only thing kind of missing at le Coq is the atmosphere. The dining room is not very... More

Space between the tables. Very calm and serviceminded waitres. We felt calm and relaxed, and ready to enjoy a good meal in a relaxed atmosphere. And we were not dissapointed. We took the winemenu and enjoyed a good glass of wine that suited each dish. It was just a good experience.

average food at vastly inflated prices, with appalling service in a restaurant that is decorated more like a french bordello than a restaurant. avoid!

Looking for a bit of France? Le Coq is the place. Cozy, original, authentic. It always smells wonderful in le Coq. The French owner is a smiley man with great accent. When you hear and see him, you know, you have come to a place which is a man's pride and joy. There is no greed over him, and you... More

Superior small dishes in a terrific relaxed salon. I talked to the chef early afternoon because of some special vegetarian preferences, and had a positive experience. The waiter who served us though was bad. He gave negative responses to everything, he had a 'I don't know and I don't care" attitude, and finally when we had cheese for desert, he... More

This place seems to think they're rather better than they actually are. You can get much, much better food for that kind of money in Aarhus. Poor service. Avoid.

This was a terrific dinner. While the items are small in size, they are big on flavour. a delightful dessert as well. I would come back here again!
