Sitting by the window the view over the harbour is very nice. In addition we experience both very good food (fish), an interesting wine list at reasonable prices and a very friendly and servicemindede staff

Friendly staff in a restaurant that has a great view and with a narrow menu, but high Quality food with great beer (Jacobsen Brown Ale) on tap.

Copenhagen was quite a let down, so was the harbour...we walked it in around 15 mins, there wasn't much to do or see. Denmark has the friendliest people I've e we met, there just isn't much to do!

Lovely location. Service is extremely slow. We were seated immediately (7 pm on a Friday night) and our orders were taken right away. First course didn't arrive for 45 mins (salmon mousse), entree didn't arrive until an hour after that. Sadly, the entree was inedible ... beef couldn't even be cut with a knife. Service was poor, bordering on rude.... More

Came for a late night bite near closing. No one would take out order for a while. A long haired blonde waiter (Victor) who was setting up for breakfast buffet in the morning stepped up and was awesome. Food was good (fettuccine) and the atmosphere was very nice.

We had dinner at The Harbour when we stayed at the hotel. The good is that it was raining so we didn't have to leave the hotel, the view of the harbour with the swimming pool and modern architecture is interesting and the decor is both modern while still being "warm". The bad is that the food was just average.... More

Restaurant at Copenhagen Island Hotel. In an annex at the back on 4 levels all with good views of the harbour. Menu small but covering fish, meat and vegetarian. Prizes from 185Kr upwards for a main course and 95Kr for desserts. Food will presented and tasty in moderate sized portions. The raspberry pannacotta with peach ice cream was excellent. Wines... Came here with my wife on a trip and we were staying at the hotel. We were kindly greeted and sat in the restaurant portion (5 steps downstairs from the bar area). Our waiter came and asked what we would like to drink and I asked if we could also see the bar menu. Rudely he answered "well you can... More

Stayed at the Hotel and the service at the bar made me certain I did not want to eat there. Trust me it's worth making the walk to Tivoli Hotel for steak or seafood and their bar.

Staying in Inner Vesterbro

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner Vesterbro
This neighbourhood is home to Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park and beautiful garden always worth a visit. Just west of Tivoli, you’ll find Copenhagen Central Station, from where you can reach just about every part of Denmark within 5 or 6 hours, or you can reach Copenhagen Airport in less than 15 minutes. Next to the Central Station, you’re in the middle of “old” Vesterbro, where several cultures and hundreds of languages are spoken in an area not more than one square mile. This neighbourhood is considered one of the most trendy places to live in and to visit in Copenhagen. For a real treat, visit Kødbyen ("meat town"), home to several restaurants, cafés and nightclubs, all within a short walk of each other.
