Walking around we stumbled into this great authentic danish pub. The service was excellent and so was the food. In less than we expected the place was packed and seated next to us were a 2 local couples that gave us great conversation. Great location, great food, good beer and good company.

Went to Skindbuksen in Copenhagen for a typical family Christmas lunch. It used to be one of my favorite hangouts when I was a student some 40 years ago, and the place has hardly changed since then. No wonder that it has stayed in business for over 200 years. The traditional food was great and in abundant quantity, the beers... More

We stumbled into this place on a cold evening in January. Very warm and cozy. The food was very good. I highly recommend the salmon. We got there a bit early and there were not too many people. But soon a man started playing the piano and not long after the place was packed.

I was sitting in my hotel room searching authentic Danish places to eat and every place had $$$$ next to it. This was the only place i could find that was cheap, close by, and had good reviews so i gave it a try. The food was absolutely amazing and there was so much of it. I had the tomato... More

This cosy local serves up home cooked food in convivial surroundings. The piano was getting well used accompanied by impromptu performances from a couple of willing customers. The owner is gregarious and welcoming and it is more about the overall experience than solely for the food, wholesome as it is. Recommended.

We always visit when in Copenhagen. An old pub/inn from 1728 with few tables but a lot of warmth. The have nice meals of all kinds and cold beer, and the staff makes you feel like home and ask where you're fom etc. There's singing ang dancing, and always a good talk. The prices are affordable as well. They have... More

I had eaten here years ago and had fond memories of this quaint, pub-like, whacky little place, so I was keen for my partner and our friends to try it. They loved it too. The food is no-nonsense Danish home-style cooking. Three of us had roast pork and all the trimmings, while my partner had calf's liver. Everything was beautifully... More

If this place was in London it would be a proper ole knees up. Cute little bar come restaurant with the oddest art all over the place. Welcoming and the food is danish fayre. Hearty meat, potatoes, beetroot and pickles washed down with beer. What's not to like.
