This is a truly authentic restaurant. Historic, ancient and yet service is 100% and very much existent. Our server was very attentive, a sophisticated gentleman who upon finding out that it was our first time dining here, decided to give us a history briefing of the restaurant and its cuisine as well an anticipated taste review. The food was of... More

Dined here and had the danish sampler meal. It was lovely and very authentic. The waiter was really friendly and showed us how to eat it all the danish way. The plaice and pork was my favourite and cooked very well. Very atmospheric because it's such a historic and significant restaurant. It was very cosy during a snow storm too!

This dimmed underground venue is small and busy, but also really, really hyggelig. The menu consists primarily of Danish classics, with or without bread. Their smørrebrød as well as platters are recommended. The staff is on their toes and wonderfully easy-going. Perhaps a bit pricy, but the food and service is really good.

The staff were very friendly and the food was more basic than some but felt like good traditional Danish food. Great meal.

Went here for dinner tonight and it's worth a sound recommendation. It was easy to book online and we were shown straight to our table by very welcoming and friendly staff Tine and Qillaq. There's a good range of mainly Danish themed food and this was what we were looking for. Went for the Evening Platte which included lovely bread... More

The option of shared platter was excellent from start to finish with copious portions, strong tastes that complemented each other nicely. Excellent beer on tap and friendly efficient service. A place with history that lives for the day!

We were seeking a typical Danish meal and I think this met the brief! We shared a 'sharing platter' for 2 amongst 2 adults and 2 children and found there was plenty. This type of fair relies heavily on meat, fish and bread.... as s non- meat eater not my typical fair but there was herring, salmon and cheese and... More

We had a very warm welcome in this traditional Danish restaurant. The food was excellent and the atmosphere warm and friendly. Puk was also good value for an expensive city. It is easy to find, close to the Christiansborg Palace and a few steps from a bus stop for several routes. Highly recommended.

Popped in for lunch and the food was amazing. Really friendly service, very cosy and the open sandwiches were amazing. Well worth visiting if you're in Copenhagen. Felt very traditional which was a brilliant experience :-)

Description
Restaurant PUK is a classic and historic Danish restaurant in the very heart of Copenhagen. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Copenhagen with a history dating back to 1750. Here came the Danish King Christian VII along with his mistress in the late 19th century when they were in town together. You can enjoy all the traditional Danish courses crafted with a blend of respect for tradition and a pride in the art of cooking and the best products from Danish farmers.
