Although we had seen mixed reviews, we ran out of options on a Sunday night and opted for this restaurant. We are very glad we did! The overall first appearance is not real good, as it is below street level and old looking. But get...More

This little place is tucked away in the basement of a building (as most good places are in Copenhagen). The staff is super friendly. The first night I had the PUK Maxi burger and it was delicious, beets and all (I really don't like them)!...More

We had such a great evening at this restaurant on our recent trip to Copenhagen. We didn't have a reservation and they were busy but still gave us a large table so that our two year old daughter could sit and play with her toys....More

Wonderful service, attentive staff, but the place is small and intimate enough that they know when to give you your space too. We spent two or so hours there, weren't rushed at all. Food was incredible, a meal I will remember for a while, my...More

Average food. We had pate to start then the veal brisket, minced beef and my 4 year old had the Wiener schnitzel. He was happy but we thought the food overall was average with some exceptions.

Traditional danish food served in decent quantities and at a good price. Nothing vegetarian that I could see but plenty of fish so I had sweet herring for starters on rogebrod followed by grilled salmon with asparagus and hollandaise sauce. The herring in particular was...More

Make a reservation, this is a popular place. There were at least 10 groups that were turned away whilst we were there on the Saturday evening as there was no space and the restaurant was fully booked. Having eaten here I can see why. The...More

Great restaurant situated on a quiet street on the edge of the main town centre. We visited on our last night and were lucky to get a table, so popular is this venue. Traditional Danish fare served by friendly and helpful staff. Well worth searching...More

We wanted a traditional Danish meal and we got it. The three of us shared a multi course "taste of Denmark" sampler and loved it. Herring in cream sauce with dill, plaice, and gravlax began it and was served with akavit. Next was roast pork...More

Description
Restaurant PUK is a classic and historic Danish restaurant in the very heart of Copenhagen. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Copenhagen with a history dating back to 1750. Here came the Danish King Christian VII along with his mistress in the late 19th century when they were in town together. You can enjoy all the traditional Danish courses crafted with a blend of respect for tradition and a pride in the art of cooking and the best products from Danish farmers.
