This is a nice place for lunch; unfortunately the "saluhall" is under renovation but the temporary place is decent. Lisa E is a tradition in Stockholm (I think John Kerry was here last week) and I like having my lunch here now and then, when...More

I would rate our visit higher but we found tables a little TOO close together. We were fortunate in that those at the neighbouring table were delightful; However, it is less than ideal to be so close to those at another table that you feel...More

This superb restaurant is at present situated in the temporary Østermalm Saluhall with no influence whatsoever on the food and service. Can't wait to be back again.

The old food market "Ostermalmshallen has been evacuated to a large box, due to renovations. Not a bad move, given the fact that the restaurants, Lisa Elmquist being one, can be accessed from the outside and stay open when the market is closed. We had...More

This is a top notch seafood place, with very high quality dishes, wine and service. We had oysters, fresh shrimp, a fantastic fish soup and pike search. Everything was very fresh and tasty. The drinks are of course not cheap, but we were still very...More

This restaurant will surprise you on many levels. At first glance, it is a simple restaurant located in a market but that perhaps is the key. This restaurant has the freshest fish I have ever eaten. We started with the roe and a herring tastings...More

From market trader to purveyor to His Majesty the King. It all began in the early 1920s. Fisherman's daughter Lisa Elmqvist traded her wares at a street market by the waterfront, and customers quickly flocked to her stall. Her fish, shellfish and cookery skills were of such a high standard that she swiftly moved up to Ostermalms Saluhall - the perfect place to allow her ability to shine through. Today, 90 years later, the fourth generation of the Elmqvist family continues her work assiduously from the same stall, gaining more and more experience and ambitions. The restaurant has recommendations in Guide Michelin for the last 10 years in a row. During the renovation of the old market hall from 1888 you will find us at the temporary market hall at Ostermalstorg. We will move back summer 2018.
