While visiting Stockholm on a cruise, our Swedish friend took us to Bla Porten after visiting the Vasa Museum. It's described as a 'Mediterranean Eatery with a lush garden' and while it's more of a 'courtyard with plants', it was very pleasant. You grab a tray and take what you want and pay for it at the end. We enjoyed... More

You can sit outside and dine in the summer. Good service - nice food! Well located Close to Gröna Lund and the Wasa museum. The only negative is that they close early in the evening.

Just beside the ABBA museum, easy to enter, beautiful garden, interesting Swedish food, fast service, a bit noisy and crowded.

We went to Bla Porten after visiting The Vasa and were so glad we did. The dining area is in a lovely garden and seems to be frequented by locals. It is more of a cafeteria than a table service restaurant. After getting your table, go inside and either partake of the buffet or order from the menu. I had... More

This is an excellent stop for people wishing to have an artistic Swedish food experience. Blå Porten, situated close to Liljevalchs art museum om Djurgården, has traditionally been a boho location. They serve a range of classic Swedish dishes, nothing too innovative. Sandwiches are disappointing. Great range of cakes and sweets. It is very busy and perhaps a bit overpriced,... More

We discovered this restaurant at the last minute after a visit to Vasa museum. The restaurant offers a pleasant outdoor seating in a garden area. The food is high quality and you could guess a lot of thought has gone into preparation and presentation. We had Herring and Cod for mains and couldn't fault it. Treated ourselves to lovely Swedish... More

Lunch, brunch or fika, this is a "classy" venue near Grönalund, Skansen and NordiskaMuseet. Wholesome food - not particularly cheap, but fresh, wholesome and of good quality. Pleasant surroundings. Friendly staff.

This lovely Mediterranean-style restaurant is perfect for a leisurely lunch or for fika. There are lots of tables crammed into the courtyard which, if it is not raining, is perfect for relaxing. The staff are lovely, the food is beautiful and fresh. Can not fault this place.

This was recommended as one of the 5 top places to eat in Stockholm by the Rough Guide. I don't think so. Admittedly we arrived at 14:30 and Swedes famously eat early, so maybe all the good stuff had gone. Very expensive for 2 small sandwiches, 2 beers and a slice of flan. Can't see what all the fuss is... More

Self service, but really good pastries and main courses. The garden is very pleasant, when the sun shines. Really nice place to lunch !
