I really love this restaurant. Every year in early March I go to Stockholm to see the final of Melodifestivalen. The day after the final I always go to this restaurant. It's quiet with a nice atmosphere. And it's not too expensive. The first year (2014) I had the Swedish Meatballs. They were fantastic. But since then I always have... More

A lovely little restaurant hidden down the cobbled streets of Stockholm's old town. Great service, excellent food, and a cozy atmosphere made for a wonderful evening.

It was a cold snowy day and the restaurant was very busy. 4 of us and they made a space for us. They have a good Swedish menu and we chose meatballs, moose and shrimp salad - they were all good and washed down with beers. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

There are quite a few restaurants in the Old town pretending to be medieval. This one too offers that kind of atmosphere and background. In addition it serves traditional Swedish game. The menu is varied, tempting and the service is alright. The food is very good making this an highly decent choice on the tourist trail of Gamla Stan.

We had the mushroom soup, Swedish meatballs & fishstew (which was one of the day's specials). All were good and the service crew was very polite.

As we have a short 3 days trip in Stockholm, we have decided, we and our 4 friends to have a typical lunch saturday. We visit a lot of restaurant and sadly, it was to late to eat in many of them because they don't serve lunch after 14h/14h30. Finally, after many researches, we found the restaurant CC. It was... We were able to get a table here after our first two choices were full. I am glad we were able to get in. The food was fantastic. It also was serving far more Swedish people than most of the other restaurants we visited in Gamla stan. That must be a good sign. After seeing every Swede order the mushroom... More

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
