We enjoyed our meal and the ambiance of this cozy restaurant. We tried the local food- Reindeer and Swedish meatballs, along with cold local beer. The service was excellent and the food was delicious.

Had a meal after wandering old town. Swedish meatballs with cream sauce, mashed potato and lingonberries. Very tasty. Washed down by some draught beer and finished with apple pie. Daughter had the spaghetti and couldn't finish it.

Excellent meatballs and swift service. Not too gimmicky given its location in the old town. Great mulled wine. Bonus as it has very clean toilets 😁

We stopped here on our first night in Stockholm; close to apartment where we were staying. Very friendly staff; the waitress from Boston was very attentive. I had meatballs; which were excellent. For desert, I opted for raspberry pie with custard; again, this was outstanding....More

After a day of travelling, we chose this charming looking restaurant for our first evening meal as it was close to our hotel. The restaurant is just a few meters from Gamla Stan square. The staff were all very friendly and there was a good...More

Stopped in for a quick lunch after visiting the Christmas Market. Nice homey feel and very good food. The reindeer was terrific, tender and tasty. The meatballs were plentiful and delicious and the rigatoni carbonara was tasty as well and included the raw egg yolk!...More

Fantastic place hidden from tourists. Decent prices for this area. Had great meat balls and service was fast and friendly (off season, off lunch time). Good for a date thanks to a cosy Medieval atmosphere and fitting music.

It’s just across the street from the entrance to the cathedral. Great lunch place with outstanding goulash soup and bread. Downstairs is a cellar room from the 1500s that they still use for dining. Ask to eat downstairs for more atmosphere. Rest of menu looked...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
