Ok, been here before but still this is a good restaurant and I will return. It is no fancy in any way. It is very private and strangely decorated. Service is very good considering the fact that it was hard for the crew to even...More

We ordered the bigger menu with a wine page to go with the menu, it was excellent! There was 2 animals that were in focus and man did they deliver! I loved it! Fine dining at its best !

I had eaten here a few years ago and enjoyed the single animal concept they had going on. But now it seems things have changed, the name "the animal" now includes "the fish" it seems! The staff was charming and the food well presented and...More

Great food and atmosphere. Service is up to the mark and quality of food is extraordinary. History of the place is interesting 😊

Djuret is a confusing restaurant. I liked the food for most parts, and I would consider it at least as close to fine dining. But the service? Sloppy, plates thrown on the table, wines poured too fast without introductions (wine package), so very casual bistro...More

This restaurant was suggested by the concierge at the Sheraton. It's behind the Opera House and "less touristy". We went there for lunch, on some jet lag. We ate inside as the tables outside were full. It took a bit to get service but we...More

We were a bit dissapointed with the quality of the food at Djuret. A couple of the dishes from the four course set menu were heavily over-salted and drowned in unnecessary sauce. The plating also lacked attention and the dishes looked flat and uninteresting as...More

Undercooked fish wrapped in seaweed sous-vide and served with lard was one of the many lowlights of the pretentious tasting menu. The staff was great but whoever designed the menu on the night we visited was trying too hard to be special.

I loved the place. Majority of patrons seem to be foreign tourists in a search for authentic Swedish dishes and therefore ordering the same thing: meatballs with mashed potatoes and an assortment of pickled herring, which is exactly what I ordered and I loved it....More

Modern nordic ingredient based cooking with a traditional twist. Has one of the best wine lists in Sweden with reasonable mark ups, some wines are cheaper here than in the international auctions.

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

Djuret is Leijontornets bistro. At Djuret we serve one animal at the time. We concider this to be the most sustainable way to work with the slaughtered animal both from an organic perspective but also out of respect to the animal in question. The whole menu consists of different meat paragraphs from the same animal. These are prepared with a lot of love on the grill, halster or in a pot and then served in a rustik way.
