We went there between friends to end up a beautiful journey in stockholm. it was a big disappointment, the food was correct but not astonishing, Some courses were served with missing ingredients. if you order a pichet of still water, we will have to pay but you won't know it until you see the bill. and finaly the staff is... We were in Stockholm in December 2016 and fell for a "Swedish Christmas buffet". However, there were no prices written outside or inside. We were met by an Italian waiter having kind of a homie-attitude and speaking a lot. He told us the price for the buffet which seemed quite reasonable, so we stayed. Christmas buffet comprised herring, cold salmon,... More

Very dishonest restaurant. Got lured into the restaurant by the prices posted outside the door, only to find that the prices are different on the menu once sat down. Kept recommending the fish appetiser for two while the price on the menu was just for one. Only found that they charged 2x when the bill came. We asked for warm... More

Nice interior and located in a good spot. Everything else is bad. The portions are small in some cases and tasteless in others. Basically, dont eat here. You do not get your moneys worth. It also takes time to get your sad food and it´s expensive on top of that!

Terrible service and crazy prices compared to what you get. If you don't have to I suggest don't visit this place.

Went there with my wife for a dinner (unfortunately didn't read the reviews before). Service was rude and most of all arrogant and very slow. they charged us 39 SEK for a tiny bottle of refilled TAP WATER. Food was barely OK, but the super slow and arrogant service ruined even this. Some official ministry should shut them down! Avoid!

We were a big group, so it was great that they had room for us without a booking. Because of the julbord (christmas buffet) later the same day the menu was limited. Food was OK, but not cheap. Service was good.

Rip off. We entered and after an arrogant 'welcoming' we got sent to the basement, which was way too cold. We ordered our food and were asked if we wanted some water with our meal. We said 'yes' assuming that we each would get a glass of draft water like anywhere else in Scandinavia. Apparently this draft water was filtered... More

Thief, you pay tap water at 5 euros, 4 snacks at 50 euros, you exit the restaurant that you are starving. One of the worst restaurants ever. Don't let their kindness and nice faces fool you.

Thank cstdla

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
