Even though it was very difficult to reserve a table in this restaurant we were very glad that we visited this restaurant. The atmosphere is awesome. The intro of each visitor by a guy at the entrance was one of the best experiences in Stockholm....More

This place honestly was such a great experience. If you have enough time I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner however you need to make a booking to get in. As you walk down the stairs the Viking chief announces you and your guests...More

A Viking themed venue. It was a fun evening (make your reservation in advance) alone or in a group as everyone gets a crier's announcement of your arrival. Whatever table you are seated at, you are the invited guest. Forks, plates and goblets are also...More

Enjoyed a fun evening at Aifur Krog with good food and drink. The staff are very friendly and every diner is announced as they enter the restaurant. Not a place for a quiet romantic dinner as you will be sharing long tables with other diners,...More

Pricy yet very average food, cute faux Viking decor and kinda strange musician playing period instruments and music but blending modern rock riffs between songs (actually quite funny). Doesn’t measure up to its own advertising...

Amazing restaurant. The mead was phenomenal and the lamb was the best I have ever had. The atmosphere is worth every penny. I would definitely return to this restaurant. Dish we had was lamb and was around $300 Krona, mead was $160 Krona

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)

I don't really know, but you can check in their website. They accept reservations and it's good to make one 'cause the restaurant is usually full.

I didn't see a children's menu, and to be honest with the atmosphere of the bar I am not sure it would be suitable for children, it can get a little rowdy.

Aifur Restaurant & Bar is named after the legendary Viking ship Aifur and the result of 15 years of accumulated knowledge and research about life, food and culture from the years 700-1100, merged with skilled and knowledgeable staff in a great location in ”Gamla stan”, the Old Town of Stockholm. Our kitchen is historical informed and for those who are just thirsty there is a seperate bar area.
