Great place to go if you want to dine waterside and enjoy some great cocktails. The food was terrific and we were there early-ish so could enjoy the view before the trendy crowds came in. The view is nice when it is of the water, but it is also nice if you want to people watch, as it was quite... More

Was visiting Mr French with 10 colleges last week and the service was the worst I ever experienced in Stockholm sine I can remember (and I have lived in Stockholm all my life more or less). Faulty towers seems to have a better customer focus and service than this place. The food was fairly good but the portions was small... More

This is a happening place. Wonderful patio in the central harbour of Stockholm. Enjoyed a quiet business dinner here. It's a seafood restaurant, but don't let that detour you. There is something for everyone here.

Trendy food in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The dishes were excellent and there was plenty of choice. Drinks are as everywhere in Sweden rather expensive

We started at the outside bar with a Mojito, a glass of wine and a soda water for SEK 266 which I found a bit pricey . The interior designer of this place has done a great job ! It's appealing and fun . Lots of comfy sofas outside with heated radiators. The food is very good . The point... More

A great place for hanging out at night lounging on the sofas chatting and having a few drinks. If you smoke there's a large outside heated area. Quite busy but enjoyable.

Me and my friends had a great time a Mr French! Nice weather, good looking people and good food. It's pricy but manageable. If you wanna drink wine and have a good time with friends - then this is a good option

Went for Saturday brunch with some friends. The staff was very nice and the mood of the place makes you want to stay for a while. So far so good. However, the food is just not good, simple and plain. The shrimp (basically the USP) had obviously been frozen and was kind of runny. The warm food was completely bland,... More

Today we had brunch with some friends and we had booked our table in advance. The food is almost entirely seafood except for some salad, some meatballs, raw beef patties, and chicken. The seafood consisted of thawed shrimp (not fresh but previously frozen, you can tell by the taste and consistency), blue mussels, oysters, crab, bread, and some smoked salmon.... More

I'm sure this place is happening in summer. But we were there for a Sunday brunch and it was only seafood. Concierge recommended. Very limited choices on the menu. Great views of the water and good location in old town.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
