To be honest I wasn't really expecting much when our local business colleague in Stockholm told us he'd booked a table here for dinner, even when he forward a link to the Daily Telegraph article in which the Jarnvagsrestaurangen is included as one of the best Railway station buffets in Europe. And although the approach up the staircase from the... More

This is a historic restaurant opened 1932. Well worth a visit if you want some traditional Swedish cuisine like meatballs or herring. Basically it's a restaurant inside a railway station but the architecture is unique and the staff is second to none. Many locals and commuters are regulars here. If you are really lucky you can have a chat with... More

Down to earth and really nice. It's like going back to 1940 when it comes to decor. Food grea,t like a home cooked meal. Well worth a visit.

Raggmunkar in a railway-station. As old fashioned as it could be. No gourmet but if you expected it then it is your own problem. Good atmosphere in the restaurant and D.I.F. atmosphere in a bar next to it. Just step in a Östra Station ( East Station) and one floor up. You do not see this kind of places often... More

This is off the beaten track, a rail station restaurant from 1930's. Serving traditional Swedish food, not to tourists but to locals. Great choice of dishes, reasonably priced and greatly made. Sure, the premises needs a bit of love, but the staff and what is being served makes up for it. Go and be pleasantly surprised.

This restaurang is situated in the railway station östra station, so its a bit noisy, food is traditional Swedish cuisine, very straightforward cooked and served. Dont expect any gastronomicall sensations, prices are a bit on the high level for what you get

You probably need to understand the Swedish interpretation of Today's Lunsh in order to appreciate this restaurant. People come here for the neoclassical architecture of the dining room, one floor up from the local train station.

I've passed by this place a lot, but always been a little hesitant to try it. It seems out of the way, in an odd place, and retro, so what are the odds that it's good? Turns out, they serve up some good husmanskost (traditional Swedish food)! We tried the Swedish Meatballs and the Moose Steak (Welcome to Sweden), and... More

We live very near Ostra Station and consider this our neighborhood restaurant. The 75-year-old room is beautifully maintained, the staff are warm and proficient, and the food is uniformly very good. If you have a chance to try it, I'm certain you'll enjoy it.
