Really nice calm atmosphere and great food. Would recommend this place for a romantic date but it is also nice in a larger group setting. Had the New Zealand Entrecote which was really good

Well worth a visit. Does not look so impressive from outside; all the action is downstairs in a hall wonderfully decorated with drapes. Wide menu; lots of fish and steak. Very attentive service; friendly and food out promptly. Good food. My Irish Angus steak was a little more fatty than I would have liked. Excellent sides; lovely carrots and broccoli.... More

This is a very good restaurant to have a Swedish dinner in. The fish and meat is very good. They also have good deserts . Put this on your list if you go to Sweden.

It was a delicious dinner in an exquisite place in the cellars of the old town of Stockholm. Brilliant combination of food and wine. Superb staff.

Amazing interior to say the least. This restaurant clearly has one of the most espectacular interiors in Stockholm. Although the lack of windows the ambient is amazing taking you back to a cozy medival french rococco pavillion. Creds to the interior designers. Food was splendid but I still believe a bit to pricy for the quality. The prices are at... More

Finally, a restaurant that does not treat you as cattle. I feel that most places in Gamla Stan just put in so many people as they can possibly cram in. But here you get a decent table with decent space to the next one. The menu is extensive and very appetizing. I tried their steak and it was done nicely.... More

I went here with my boyfriend while on holiday in Stockholm as a friend had recommended it. It really is lovely inside with a grand staircase and the dining area looks like you're in a marquee. I would say that the service wasn't amazing as I found one of the waitresses was a bit cold. My boyfriend had ordered the... More

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
