Stopped here from all of the great reviews I saw on Tripadvisor and it did NOT disappoint! Makes for a great quick stop/eat - the owner is super nice- there isn't really a line (at least there was not when we were there) but he recognizes who is new to the line and who has already ordered - so there... Gunters is a legend in Stockholm, specializing in native sausages from all over the world. Get there early because there is always a line. A must stop for lunch when out and about in Stockholm.

We aren't familiar with the food in Stockholm so we just asked for whatever was the most popular. It didn't disappoint! They were super friendly and the food was delicious!

Double Kabanoss (no sauerkraut for me) is the best hot dog I've ever had! It's big, you don't need more. It's spicy, hot, delicious! I'm in Stockholm often, I need to go more often now that I've been introduced to Günters. Service is slow, thankfully! Good things come to those that wait.

I'm staying in the apartment above and see the local office workers lining up for lunch here everyday. Great tasting and very adorable, much better than the "korv" stands you see throughout Stockholm. Must try!

This is just a small take-away kiosk worth a visit! The queue of locals waiting for their order confirms this. You have the option of choosing one of the many sausage varieties which is serves in a toasted bun with a delicious garnish. Simply delicious! Whilst in Stockholm we've eaten great food in restaurants but the experience at Gunters tops... More

I most definitely enjoyed my afternoon snack at Günters! Not only was the meal fairly priced, but it was most certainly pleasing to my taste buds. This combined with the friendly service and lovely location make this hot dog stand a must visit when in Stockholm.

Do not miss this - it is one of the great sausage stalls in Stockholm. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious, just good sausages and the trimmings. Queue up. Enjoy. Return for more the next day!

Great sausages served in baguette. One of the best hot dog stands in Stockholms. Their kabanoss is spicy and served in a baguette with some home made sauce, hoj hoj, and mustard. Well worth a detour.

Thank Thomas S

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
