Had dinner here last week, I ordered the Lobster sauce pasta hoping for a great dish. I was disappointed in how tasteless the sauce was and really did not enjoy it. My husband had a bit of it and felt the same. It was just too heavy and the flavor was not to my (our liking), He on the other... More

Food was OK, but I've had more tasty Italian food. All freshly made but not enough flavour. For two main meals, one glass of wine and one beer it was about £45, if you add a tip circa £50. I've rated it as poor because I've had better Italian food a lot cheaper. However, there was a mature atmosphere, people... More

Searching for a place to eat dinner in the mest touristy place in Stockholm my expectations were very low when we found this restaurant. To my surprise the restaurant was very very good. We had pizza and shared a bottle of the house wine, the pizza was and of the best in town and the price was ok

Nice and pleasent place. Very good food and excellent wine to resonable price. Our waiter IVO took very good care of all of us four "girls" and one lucky man. Next day we returned again and we was realy treated in the best way so for sure we will return again .

Thank you for having gluten free crust- and delicious crust at that!!! Had to have been homemade. I had the shrimp with marinara sauce. So good!! Glad we researched in advance and enjoyed a stop here before visiting the city hall, which is nearby.

I check this restaurant before making the call. Decided to take a chance since everybody was talking good about it. It was a mistake. I order garlic bread, it was cold!!! The service was slow. The pizza was watery. However, the pasta was good.

It looks like a tourist trap at the entrance to Gamla Stan, but I was pleased to see that the food is reasonably priced and the locality is charming. I go for gluten-free pizzas, and the one they served (I chose the Mamma Mia with rocket, parmesan, dried ham) was tasty, albeit I must have had better gluten-free crusts. The... More

We were hungry and got here just in time. The food was ready in 10 mins, although the terrace was full. Thank you to the Bulgarian waiter - he was very friendly. Pasta, pizza and tiramisu were great!

Very good food, relaxing environment and very kind service. I had some excellent linguine alle vongole. It is not cheap but there is a fair balance between price and service.

Italian base restaurant with tasteful dishes. I tried the seafood pasta. It was so delicious and others tried different dishes including pizza and fish of the day. We all were satisfied with both the food quality and the staff politeness.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
