This is a really good restaurant, the food is very fresh and the environment is nice - traditional seatings as well as comfy sofas - and then there's the view over Södermalm.

Me and some friends visited the place a Saturday night and the place was packed. Didn't get a great vibe from the place and the music was just scattered all over the different styles.. the crowed was mainly non Swedish

Had a lunch buffé today, They don't put much attention on refilling food, so you can see most of the trays are half left or empty. Sushi is not fresh, very thin salmon. The food tasted more like Chinese. For western, it is ok. But if you are looking for real Thai, this is obviously totally wrong place for you.... More

Very typical Asian buffé. Enough choises for me. Very efficient staff, clearing off plates from your table and filling up the food containers quickly.

Pong Imperiet is a more classy restaurant compared to other Asian buffet restaurants. I am quite glad that they started serving my favorite Pong dish in their evening buffet menu, which is the large fried shrimp/prawn. After all, it is that dish that makes me go to a Pong restaurant in the first place. For me, a Pong restaurant is... More

Imperiet used to be the perfect place for lunch. Always 2 good options - good service and nice atmosphere. But not during my last visit. Just one option left this time, but as it was Pytt i Panna we were not disappointed ordering this. But pretty disappointed with the burnt food we got. On top on that the service was... More

The food was delicious, good looking Swedish waitress, turns into a bar/club if you stick around long enough and has an outside patio

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
