We came here for dinner. The place is nice and well kept, seems to be in another era, but more you stay in this restaurant and more you think: "why didn't they do it a bit better?". Let's talk about food. Food was good and very tasty, everyone of us got different things and we were all satisfied. At the... More

Friendly service, good traditional Russian cuisine and, yes, the Chicken Kiev is good. Wander past the Russian Orthodox cathedral on the way back to complete the evening.

This hidden gem of a restaurant has been in the business of serving excellent Russian food for 100 years in 2017 - as old as Finland itself as an independent country. The cuisine is traditional Russian and the style is old-worldly. We found the shashlik and the pheasant excellent and served with a smooth Georgian red wine, it was a... More

The restaurant turns 100 years 2017! Could use some refurbishment but the russian food is excellent. Very friendly personel also.

When you feel like tasting a piece of history... Go to Bellevue, take the big tasting platter to share and order some vodka! If you're still hungry after the tasting platter, order some blinis. Strong recommendations.

After decades of missing the visit, Bellevue revisited. Perfect for a nice Christmas party for the couple of us. Overall a very harmonious experience. The standard of the food is surprisingly high. Bellevue has clearly managed to find more sophistication to the meal than is normally the case with those other somewhat "gutsy plonk" Russian eateries that still remain in... More

Went here for a late lunch with GF and a friend. We all chose a starter (blini with roe of vendace, sour cream and red onion) and a main (smoked arctic char with Igristoje cream, and roasted wild turkey with Calvados sauce) from the Christmas lunch menu. The starter was perfectly composed, the char was perfect as well. The turkey... More

Bellevue is the oldest Russian restaurant in Helsinki, founded in 1917 and has ever since been known for its good food and unique atmosphere. The old and valuable paintings, chairs and chandeliers take you back to the days of the Czar. The authentic Russian atmosphere is completed by classical Russian music in the background. Also the menu brings old Russian cuisine to you. The chefs are flexible and highly professional, so if one of your favorite classic Russian dishes is not on the menu, it is always worthwhile asking for it. There are also three private rooms in the restaurants.
