Went here for a late lunch with GF and a friend. We all chose a starter (blini with roe of vendace, sour cream and red onion) and a main (smoked arctic char with Igristoje cream, and roasted wild turkey with Calvados sauce) from the Christmas lunch menu. The starter was perfectly composed, the char was perfect as well. The turkey... More

Russian Zakuska buffet table with many Georgian specialities. All the food had special touch of the chef - one of the best restaurants in Helsinki.

My husband took me to Bellevue for an anniversary dinner and I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised! We had a selections of blinis as a starter following fish and bear as main course. After this we were extremely full, but decided to have dessert anyways and we didn't regret it for a second! All the food was... More

Try zakuska "brunch" buffet on Saturday afternoons. You'll have a large variety traditional georgian specialities. Best borscht soup ever! Also mini-blinies with vendace caviar were excellent! Saturday buffet is good value for money. A la carte is a bit pricey.

We started with vodka as apéritives. Russian vodka is easy to drink and great taste. We then started with an assortment of Russian starters. Very nice mix of fish, meats and salads. Next was a soup Russian style followed by Shashlik. A great evening and great food.

We came here recommended by our hotel and we relished it! It's russian style food and it was a long time since we last enjoyed this. The food was very refined. Add to that the dishes, the cutlery and the restaurant's decorations it felt as if you were dining someplace else. A feast for both eyes and mouth!

We were close to Bellevue around tea time so we decided to go there for tea and coffee and some typical Russian buns. Everything was delicious and the service was extremely professional and friendly. We really enjoyed it!

We came to Bellevue to eat bear (on the bucket list). The interior has a very special, Russian style, and the host is very friendly. The taste of bear meat is very particular but it is certainly not a "must have done".

Very atmospheric! Appeared closed at first glance, but after seeing a lit candle we opened the door. Service was professional and friendly. The food was good, albeit overpriced. The borscht was fantastic. My only complaint is that they are fishing for tips with their card payment system. This is a blight on Nordic restaurant in touristed areas. If a restaurant... More

Bellevue is the oldest Russian restaurant in Helsinki, founded in 1917 and has ever since been known for its good food and unique atmosphere. The old and valuable paintings, chairs and chandeliers take you back to the days of the Czar. The authentic Russian atmosphere is completed by classical Russian music in the background. Also the menu brings old Russian cuisine to you. The chefs are flexible and highly professional, so if one of your favorite classic Russian dishes is not on the menu, it is always worthwhile asking for it. There are also three private rooms in the restaurants.
