We booked a dinner for 6 people in this restaurant in Scauri, a tray starter consisting of sautéed clams and razor clams, skate parmigiana, seafood salad, seaweed fritters and a delicious octopus tiella. As a first course, a tagliolini with clams and artichokes and a second course consisting of a mix of fried calamari and prawns and roasted calamari! To finish, a delicious mascarpone and blueberry cake! Everything is truly delicious and fresh fish like very few places can offer! Total around €55 per person including drinks! Cute and familiar-looking, the Anfora has an internal room and a small external one. Family run, it offers fresh and simple seafood dishes. We went to this small restaurant for lunch by chance, we were passing through. I must say that we didn't start off well, on the contrary... the starter was absolutely tasteless... thank goodness we made up for it with the first courses! Spaghetti with clams really delicious, as well as the grouper ravioli. Normal grilled fish... dessert absolutely to be forgotten. Overall not bad, maybe an extra smile from the staff wouldn't be wrong..

We went last night to eat at this place and practically did not eat anything. The marinated anchovies squashed in vinegar, the seaweed pancakes were very industrial, the fried squid tasted only of oil, the risotto alla pescatore tasted nothing and the fish was chewy. It must be said that most of the dishes had frozen fish and was marked with an asterisk, the risotto alla pescatore had not marked anything instead when we tasted it was clear that it was absolutely not fresh. I was in Scauri for a basketball match platee by my son. After the defeat we went all the family to the restaurant. It was suggested the morning by tour friend that stay in Scauri during the summer. We eated spaghetti allo scoglio (pasta with seafood) , spigola in crosta di pistacchi, roasted vegetables and babba' (a typical Southern dessert). Water, Wine (of the restaurant), coffe and spirit (Limoncello and amaro). All fresh and freshly coocked. Price was surprisingly low. I'll be again at l'Anfora.

Hard to find a nice restaurant in Scauri (most pizzerias) but we did. The food here is great. Everything is fresh and tasty. This is a family run business and you can tell this family are willing to please. Service is excellent. We have been a couple of times during our stay here and both times have been enjoyable experiences. We are Canadians from Italian roots and are difficult to please when it comes to Italian food. This place has authentic home style cooking with very reasonable prices. Thursday nights has a fixed menu for 20 euros per person with wine and water included in the price. Excellent value! Whenever we are visiting relatives we surely will return to this "go to" gem of ours.

My wife and I visited L'Anfora last weekend while being on holiday in Scauri. We just happen to pass by this restaurant while walking from the beach and decided to give it a go. The starter of shell seafood was excellent, mussels were juicy and fresh, the sauce had the right consistency and the crusty bread soaked in it at the bottom of the pot was a delight. For the mains we had ravioli with fish and also deep fried squid. The ravioli were cooked to perfection - everything what you would expect from a family run restaurant, proper Italian. The squid was beautiful and very tender, not the rubbery rings you usually get. We were quite stuffed at this point but had a selection of cakes; notably the pistachio and hazelnut cakes were excellent, with a real home-made feel to it. Drinks-wise we only had a couple of bottles of water and a bottle of Peroni, so can't comment on the wines, but all in all, a great evening with delicious food and friendly, relaxed service. Definitely recommended.
