We had dinner here last night and the service was excellent but the food was fantastic. I had the 4 course Christmas tasting menu. The food was incredible. My wife had the robata salmon and I will never forget it. Perfectly cooked and seasoned

I had the pleasure of eating at Rub23 three weeks ago while on tour in Iceland. The food was beautiful, demonstrating Icelandic seafood with a Japanese influence...the result was tasty and unique. The atmosphere was comfortable, welcoming and professional. The staff went out of their...More

Neat space. I ordered the 'Chef's Choice' of five types of specially selected and PERFECTLY grilled fish.Delish salad. Service was a bit lacking (or maybe it was typical for Iceland, and I mean that in an honest, not mean way. Cultural difference in service expectation?)

If you are looking for fresh sushi, this is the place to go in Akureyri. The extreme sushi festival was impressive, abundant and yummy! It is right in the downtown and it is quite easy to find.
