We stayed just across this restaurant and decided to stop by for some dinner. It is a bit pricey but then again it all is in Iceland. We tried as a starter the Viking dish full of dried fish. It was interesting to try but...More

We had a wonderful evening in this restaurant. It has interesting decorations and a fun atmosphere with a strolling troubadour who sings "authentic" viking songs from many countries. During our meal we heard German, Thai, Canadian and American viking songs! Humor aside, the food was...More

We were in Iceland on a choir tour and had been booked into the restaurant for a "farewell" dinner. I was skeptical that it would be a tacky show and mediocre food. I was very pleasantly surprised --the Icelandic folk singer was phenomenal and the...More

Traditional food (and regal for the less adventurous), Viking serenades and story telling, dancing, laughter, sitting in the kings chair (when he stepped away for a moment) and having a Viking good time. Also easy to get to by local bus!

OK restaurant. As all of Iceland, a bit expensive. Had the fishe of the day, well done. My son had the duck which wasn't as greasey as normal; done well.

Dear mfisher1028, Thank you for taking your time to write about your experience at the Viking Village Restaurant. Yes unfortunately Iceland is known for being a bit on the pricier side, but I hope that won't discourage you to visit us again in the future.

We went in the off-season, there are hamburger, soup and fish dinners on the menu, no buffet. From the pictures in the hotel, it looks like the Viking feast goes on during a weekend of summer.
