Normal family place, not fancy but very laid back and cosy. The lobster soup is amazing and the fish of the day is always a hit with us.

The lobster soup was really nice, the cod lovely. Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Great place to eat in Hafnarfjordur, a stone's throw from Reykjavik.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we were very happy they did. The lobster soup was a creamy salty wonder with a ton of large chunks of fresh lobster in it, served with a beautiful salad with fresh mango chunks and cherry tomatoes. The lobster pasta was also loaded with chuncks. Nice atmosphere and awesome service on top!!! I will... More

We ate here for dinner, the service and the food were excellent. Would recommend to anyone. We each had a different fish dinner and both loved them.

We visited on Saturday 7 Jan. at 7 pm. We had reserved a table and glad that we did as some folks were being turned away. We were shown to our table by the only waiter on service. The restaurant itself is minimalist in style but beautifully lit and is cosy and welcoming. We both ordered the legendary lobster soup... More

We recently stayed nearby during a short trip to Iceland and after reading the great Trip Advisor reviews we decided to give Tilveran a try. I'm so glad we did - the food was to die for! My partner and I had the 3 course dinner menu and loved it! Creamy lobster soup to start with big pieces of lobster... More
