We came right as it opened for lunch and luckily were the first of a big wave of both locals and tourists! Got the Lobster Baguette and fries which was excellent (the baguette was great quality and the lobster was fresh). Also got a coffee...that was fresh and the perfect pairing to sip. The ambiance is low-key with bright sunny windows and a bustling energy as folks consistently came in and out, and by the drive-thru window. The big and varied menu would make this an easy pleaser for any crowd.More

Clean friendly quality food and affordable, a little off the path but worth driving to the point for this

You get really tasty, freshly made fast food in this popular local eatery. Go for the lobster sandwich, since hofn is the lobster capital of iceland, so it is freshest here - delicious!

It was driving rain, there was major street construction going on, we were starving and were trying to find a different restaurant that had been reccomnended to us. By the time we realized that this little diner was NOT it, we decided that it would...do just fine. We had nice langoustine baguettes, they were tasty and we were on our way.More

This little diner is very beautiful. Located near the harbor of Hofn, you can choose between a lot of sandwiches and burgers. I strongly recommend the lobster baguette, delicious! You can also choose vegetarian burgers - and they are pretty delicious too!

We had a late lunch of "langoustine baguette" which gave us an inexpensive taste of humar. The humar was in small pieces and seasoned. Sandwich was tasty. This is just a simple diner-style restaurant.

Delicious. What a wonderful breakfast first thing in the morning before exploring. Small diner but we easily fit 6 at 9am on a Tuesday. And the woman working there was a delight! So wonderful with us all.

We stumbled upon this place randomly as we were passing through. Had fish n chips and a salmon baguette. Both were delicious. The fry sauce was amazing. We tried to go here again a week later but sadly they were closed.

Small “diner” with a variety of food options. We came for late night dipped ice cream cones and then breakfast the next day. The English breakfast and the large skir were simply perfect before a long day of sightseeing. Would 1000% return. The staff was...fantastic and the place was spotless.More

"Don't judge a book by its cover!" Hafnarbúðin might look like a very ordinary grill bar, but it is not, actually it is a cozy decorated place serving great sea food. We tried both the lobster baguette (good but not fantastic) and fish & chips....I've had F&C in many different countries, but this was probably the best I've ever had though chips could have been of a higher quality. The harbor quay is only a few meters away and it is VERY obvious that Hafnarbúðin used FRESH fish. Prices are very reasonable for Iceland. Staff is kind but service is non-existing; You order and pay at the counter and have to pick up the food yourself.More
