Decided to eat here after seeing a trip advisor award sticker in their window. Moroccan decor and really nice place visually. Staff attentive despite being flat out busy. We went with the soup and salad deal to start. (BIG MISTAKE - more on that later!!) There were 4 soups available - Italian tomato, mushroom, curried chicken and Icelandic fish soup.... More

We spent a week in Iceland and I'll admit there are vegetarian alternatives in most restaurants. We visited Kryddkegin on our second to last night and the food was amazing! The staff were so lovely, I ordered nachos without sour cream and the waitress returned after speaking to the chef asking if I'd like them to tailor them to include... More

This is the "Heart's Delight" restaurant, and specializes in lots of salads and soups, many plant based so another haven for hungry vegetarians or vegans. Or those looking for a break from fish, whale, mutton, beef feasts.

This restaurant was across the road from our hotel, so thought we would give it a go on a rainy Reykjavik afternoon. It was empty when we got there, but the waitress was friendly. Service was a bit slow seeing as for the majority of the time we were the only customers there. I was beginning to wonder if we... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for dinner as we arrived late and we're all hungry and it was very close to our hotel. The ambience was charming as it has a bohemian vibe. The menu was Indian and Mexican which I thought was odd. However they offered four soups and salad bar which is what I ordered. It was fantastic.... More

Four soups, a salad bar with some really nice salads, delicious bread - all part of a bottomless lunch, and at a really good price. Service was really good, very friendly staff. The soups were delicious, and I don't usually like soup! Well worth stopping here for lunch if you're wandering around the city.

Well there is that Icelandic Sticker Shock associated to meals, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch, simply soup and salad, with water to drink, no tip, the bill was right at fifty bucks, US$. Yeah, I know, they import everything, I get that, but twenty five dollars for something as simple as Soup and Salad still blows me away. I got... More

Been tonight and I had soup and salad buffet, very nice and filling! Hubby had one of the curries and if I'm honest, this was tasteless and boring and he left most of it!! I would suggest if you visit, stick to what they do best and have the soup! Not cheap either so beware!

In a town where eating out is so expensive the soup and salad bar set up here is ideal and really great value. There are three soups to chose from and a good range of salads and bread.Good way to fill up!

Moroccan inspired decor with a la carte menu as well as AYCE soup and salad bar for 2,400 ISK at dinner. Vegetarian friendly. If you're vegan you will be limited to just the salad bar. Out if 4 soups, one was seafood, one chicken and the mushroom soup contained dairy. I was left with tomato soup as my only hot... More
