We were told by a guide we had that the locals liked this restaurant. Our hotel, The Grand, across the street has food service but very expensive so we went to Red Chili for dinner. It's not a real fancy place but the food, compared to other places in Iceland, is reasonable and they had a good selection. The food... More

Fabulous restaurant- food was divine. Slightly outside the city centre but worth the walk. Very generous portions full of flavour and very helpful staff who ever attentive. Would highly recommend!

The friendly and attentive staff elevated this review from 2 to 3 stars, because all of our group agreed that the food wasn't up to scratch. The plate of nachos was good but everything else kind of fell flat. 'Dragon' fries = a slightly spice sweet chili sauce. Dry burgers, underwhelming chicken wings and other issues. We visited this on our last night after a long day in the glacier. It looked like American chain when first entered but we're surprised with quality of food. We ordered chicken fajitas, beef qusadillas and plain burger. Good portion size, nice presentation and very tasty food

We had a small meal here - burger and nacchos. Food and service was good - we would go again.Keep in mind that food in Iceland is expensive. At most places expect to pay 2 to 3 times what you'd pay for a meal in the US

Big generous portions, tastes good, vegetarian and vegan options. Side plate of sweet potatoe fries was huge.

Eating out is expensive in Iceland, especially with a poor exchange rate for Sterling. This is not exactly authentic Icelandic food, but it provides generous, tasty food without the need for a second mortgage. Comfortable surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The menu looked like it had a great variety and would be good option for a group with different tastes. But the quality ended up being average to below average.
