So this place doesn't look like much from the outside and the service certainly isn't the fastest or friendliest but their sushi is amazing! It's some of the best sushi I've ever had. Plates of sushi are quite big in terms of the number of rolls etc you get which are the same things so we went for two of... More

Our standard - Southern CA sushi ... coupled with our expectation that we're on an island. We expected - taste in prep, fresh cuts, or both. Experienced neither. I asked for the freshest fish dish & ordered accordingly. Salmon roll was room temp, defly not fresh, prep sauce was umm, tasteless. 4 others in our group ordered all different dishes... More

We enjoyed the vegetable sushi rolls we had here, reasonably priced and the service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant had a cocktail list and a varied selection of choices. Nice ambiance, cozy spot at the top of the stairs, kind of hidden away.

Great Sushi - Highly Recommend. Really good sushi at reasonable prices. Staff were amazing and the choice was good. No hot food options. worth a visit.

Normally I'm a bit skeptical with sushi, it's either done really well or really badly....usually not a risk worth taking on holiday! No reason to be worried here though, the food and service was fantastic. Me and my girlfriend initially wanted to try this restaurant to eat the whale, reindeer and horse grilled sticks as well as some of the... More

If you stay in Reykjavik and enjoy great sushi, you really have to go to Sakebarrin. Just one the best sushi I ever had, second time in Iceland an second time I am amazed by the quality of the sushi ( and I am a picky sushi lover), the salmon is just outstanding, and they manage to offer original but... We had the volcano roll and the diablo roll, with sake and a beef teriyaki starter. So good! Only fault is that sake is sold by the teensy shot glass, with a carafe available as multiples of the shots per carafe (4 or 6). Enclosed a pic of the lovely sushi.

We had a selection of sushi rolls and all were very fresh and tasty. The flavour choices were different to what we've seen before which was a highlight. We didn't even need to put soya or wasabi on them to get great flavour. Price was reasonable for the quality of the food.

Thank Rachel M
