It's been two weeks since I got back from an amazing trip to Iceland, and I still can't believe that it was in Reykjavik that I had the BEST Thai food I ever had. Lots of flavour, and great portion sizes. It's very close to the downtown "hub" and right next to the bus terminal.

We went here while visiting Reykjavik and we were pleasantly surprised. The food and the service was good! We were originally told it might be an hour before our dinner was served but it didn't take quite that long. When they say 5 is the hottest, they mean it...so please be careful when ordering

Our hotel concierge recommended this restaurant as the best Thai food in Reykjavik. We were not disappointed. This is a small restaurant and we fortunately were there early with a reservation. By the time we left there was not an open table. The curry masaman chicken was excellent as was the pineapple fried rice. English is spoken and the waitstaff... More

Had a fair few thai meals in UK and abroad, this was by far the best I've eaten... Ban Thai ginger lamb curry was delicious. Highly recommend... if only restaurants in London could do thai like this place!

Long line , for a good reason , the food was great . If you can't wait and need to save $$ , go across the street , it's the same owner offering a modified take out menu ! We had a variety of noodle dishes ( craving carbs ) ...can't go wrong

We visited this restaurant a couple of times for dinner during our stay in Reykjavik. It was well located, relative to our hotel. The restaurant is very good and so is the food. It is a little pricey - but no more so than other restaurants in the city. Service was always friendly but very slow on our first visit... More

We ate here as it was local to the Hotel Klettur where we were staying and on the recommendation of other reviews. The food was one of the best Thai meals I've had if the most priciest, but then everything in Iceland is so expensive that comparatively it wasn't too bad. The waitress served us efficiently and although other reviews... More

It was our first night. My friend had never had Thai food - not even pad thai. She's now been initiated and converted. The meal choices were enormous yet each meal was prepared by hand and was super fresh. They didn't skimp on the chicken in the green curry. The sticky rice was great. What a great find!

Situated just off Hlemmur Square, we ate at Ban Thai twice whilst in Reykjavik as it was around the corner from our hotel. Our meals were excellent and the restaurant has Singha beer on offer for 590kr (good for Iceland!) The service generally was a little brusk but the restaurant fit us in both nights with no booking and brought... More
