We visited Marsaxlokk last week for the first time and had no booking for lunch. The resulting meal was dire so we booked a lovely restaurant and made plans to return. We picked a great spot in the window at Tartarun. The food was fabulous though not quick to arrive which was fine. Food this good is worth waiting for.... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Tartarun for the first time with my family last mother's day. Despite it being very busy on a Sunday afternoon, the service did not waiver and we received constant attention from all the staff. They were very knowledgeable and courteous. After the delicious starters, we opted for fresh fish which were shared amongst us.... More

Just celebrated our wedding anniversary with an amazing lunch at Tartarun! Food is delicious - best mussels and sea bass I've eaten! Halva ice-cream decadent! Service impeccable. Also ideal for an impressive business lunch. Will surely return.

Lots of outdoor cafes in Marsaxlokk but we were pleased we had chosen to have our last lunch in Malta in Tartarun. No outdoor seating but it was a hot day so we preferred the a/c. We had a table by the window so it was a good spot for people watching (although no views of the harbour as such... More

We dropped here for a dinner, quite early (just past 12). Restaurant was empty, but looked like we should stay. We had local soup - OK, and local fish (catch of the day) - Baracuda. All well served. Tasty local wine.

I was there for lunch as always never booked- but knew these people would find place for me. The place was quiet busy but being only two, a table was quickly found for us. I was in the mood for a nice fish soup and so ordered that immediately as I am always in a rush and hate to wait.... More

5-star food with a very relaxing atmosphere. Menu very original with mixed Mediterranean and Continental dishes. Fish is the specialty, even because it is situated in the picturesque village of Marsaxlokk, the fishing village of Malta. I was there on Sunday lunch and the service was a bit sluggish, but worth the wait. It is expensive, but what does one... More
