Tucked away in a side street in Valletta is this little Italian restaurant. We were looking for somewhere for a snack lunch but on entering we were charmed by this little restaurant and decided to stop for a "proper" lunch instead! The menu was written in chalk on a blackboard wall, it was a fairly limited menu with no vegetarian... More

Came across the Ambrosia restaurant by chance. It was fairly full but a table was found and service was good and friendly. The goat's cheese soufflé was a triumph and the accompanying, Maltese wine was delicious. I would recommend this to friends.

We stopped in for a late lunch and they made us feel welcome . The food was excellent and He decor was fun. The chef kindly wrote out one of th recipes and chatted with us for a few minutes. We highly recommend this spot just off Republic street.

My friend and I stumbled into Ambrosia last night - no booking, but we were drawn in by the delicious aroma emanating from within this charming restaurant. We both had the braised rabbit with dates - simple tradional fare superbly cooked, and paired with a lovely glass of local wine selected by our hosts. The staff were warm and interested,... More

Delicious food, wonderful friendly service and a cosy ambience. We went on the chance there might be a table and were rewarded with a thoroughly enchanting evening. I highly recommend a visit

Food was okay but slightly overpriced, compared to Maltese standards. Friendly but slightly sloppy service. My seabass was nicely cooked but without no flavours added (no spice, herb, salt). My partner's rabbit was nice but nothing special. Veggies and fries on the side were a bit small for two persons. Overall an acceptable experience but nothing to remember. There were... More

The hotel recommended I eat at the Ambrosia Restaurant & I was not disappointed. The menu was varied & quite different. I chose to have the boned quail which was stuffed with a walnut stuffing, served with a very tasty gravy. It was delicious & came with a bowl of baked, carmellised vegetables. The lemon cheese cake I had for... More

Ambrosia is a small restaurant but full with charme and a very nice and efficient staff. We tried the goat cheese soufflé, the veal Milanesa and the pork belly with honey and everything was deliciouse and nicely cooked. Although prices are a little bit high for Malta (we paid 80€, no wine, and just one dessert), the place, the food... More
