If not the finest, one of the finest culinary experiences in Europe. My first meal at this restaurant was 1984. I have been trying to get back ever since then. Finally the opportunity for lunch occurred this week. We were met at the door and...from that moment treated like royalty. I had contacted the restaurant by email and had reservations for lunch. The staff is exceptional professionals and add greatly the overall experience. The menu on this day was out of this world. The pairings of courses and presentations created a synergistic experience of for all the senses. Can’t wait to get back again……..More

One of the best restaurants in the region. High quality food and nice servers/staff. The terrasse with the view of the princely vineyard alone is worth the visit

I friend took us there for dinner. The staff was very friendly, the food was delicious, so the wine from the Prince's cellar. We had a wonderful experience in that historic building. The wineyard around it makes it special place.

Great food, friendly service, lovely serene view of the vineyards, and the castle. A great place to go to in Liechtenstein.

A friend took me to lunch here and it was perfect. We sat outside on the terrace, which started things off very well - but the restaurant did the rest: very good service and creative, delicious food.

We ended up taking the scenic route to get to Torkel...A detour to Vaduz. - it was great- a pleasant surprise. We felt slightly underdressed but the manager on duty told us no problem. Sat outside- even though the weather was drizzly and on the...cool side. Not inexpensive by any means. But this part of the world is not for the budget traveler. They were interested in making our meal memorable and custom. I enjoyed a made to order large mixed salad with roasted vegetables. My other [better] half had soup and it was served in a lovely way. Poured from a tureen into a large bowl. Very nice.He really enjoyed it. They were kind enough to make him fresh noodles with tomatoes, scampi and garlic and fresh cracked black pepper. It should be noted that both of our entrees were not on the menu but they were happy to make them up for us as vegetarian options. Glad we were able to sit outside- it was beautiful. Liechtenstein is an interesting little town to drive thru. The Vaduz Castle is perched high on the hill and is easily seen from the car as you drive thru. It's hard to believe that close to 40,000 people live there- as there wasn't much in the way of support. [Grocers, and businesses.] It is also a wealthy little country..The people of Liechtenstein lead a good life. We were impressed to learn that the The literacy rate of Liechtenstein is 100%! What a great statistic! If we had been staying close by we would of returned for another mean. It was excellent.More

Amazing restaurant in the heart of the Prince's vineyards in Vaduz. The restaurant used to be the main wine press room from 1700 till 1959. Excellent food, no English menu, but they explain every entry to you. Very pricey, but worth the experience. Michelin star...as well. You can dine inside near the huge winepress, or outside on the terrace overlooking the vineyards & alps.More

The place was on the outskirt of Vaduz in the Vineyard by the same name. It’s nicely decorated and very cozy. There were tasting menus as well as a la carte. We decided on the a la carte and didn’t disappoint at all. The starters...were delicious and the main dishes were very well prepared. My Rib-eye was huge and made it as ordered. We tried the estate wines of both kinds. The Chardonnay was quite Ok but the Pinot Noir was just average. The service was good.More

Great food, mediocre service. Never before such a discrepancy between food quality and bad service. First. There is no English menu. Something you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. The waiter translated the menu but you can't remember it all so we had to choose...from what we remembered. We ordered wine and water which were held at a side table as in other Michelin restaurants so the waiters could pour when the glass is empty. As our glasses became empty, no one approached us and we had to go to the side table to pour ourselves. There were long minutes without any waiters around for long time. Finally we waited an hour!!! to the dessert and it was almost impossible to get the waiters attention. Finally after getting the bill, we waited 15 minutes to pay but no one approached us. We finally went to pay at the cashier. The service ruined the food experience. We must day, the food was excellent, creative, full of flavors, colors and high quality ingredients. Go for the food and hopefully you'll have a better experience with the service (which was polite - though bad)More
