This is a good place but unfortunately the bigger area is reserved for smokers. The non-smoking area is moreless empty without any music...and you you have to wait for quite some time for the waiter :-(

Really modern/funky design. Only ate there twice but it was very good. It's times. IT was a little pricy for what it was, but the atmosphere is nice, and the service prompt. Great place to go have a drink. In summer there is a beer garden which is lovely.

Were there twice with my family. Ordered Wienna steak and were very disapointed. Wait too long to serve us, steak was some kind sweet, not even close wienna steaks I ate in Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Germany, Swiss.

Very busy and too smoky in winter. The summer outdoor area improves things. Food is simple and ok. Home made beers and long high tables make for good socialising.

We were a group of 20 people in a business trip., some Europeans, others from the US. Our local office recommended this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. There was a Xmas market in Hauptplatz, so the taxis left us there and we walked towards the restaurant, while enjoying the market (and the hot alcoholic cider it had to offer!).... More

Great food and drink experience for a reasonable price. The menu is filled with Austrian dishes and great choices . The Noble Smorgasbord was a great visual meal which would grace any restaurant menu. Well done Josef, a superb night out. The local beers were also a nice touch. Cloudy but very drinkable. Staff very attentive and responsive. Only downside... More

a wonderfully decorated restaurant with modern design. Had a nice salad buffet with good selection at reasonable price and i had the signature platter of Roast Pork, Blood Sausages, Dumplings and Cabbages which was served in a unique casserole. There are many private rooms available and as well as a nice outdoor dining area, but unfortunately it was raining and... More

Had the best steak I have had in an age - and so wonderfully presented. My husband also enjoyed his chicken dish. Absolutely fantastic food - couldn't believe the place wasn't crowded the food is so amazing - though it was a Thursday lunch time! Also a wonderful westerner themed ambiance. The staff were wonderful - and so attentive -... More

My daughter and her husband showed me around Linz all afternoon - oh my, what a charming city! We ended up on Landstrasse looking for dinner and came across Josef Linz. We looked at the menu and were pleased with what we saw. It was early enough that we could walk right in and be seated. The atmosphere was lovely,... More

We ate here with a large group, over 10 of us. The service was excellent (server had great english, which was very helpful). We all tried different versions of Schnitzel and there were perfectly done. Great traditional side dishes. Unfortunately it was raining when we were there so we were not able to eat in the garden, but it was... More
