I'm always astonished by the mixed reviews a restaurant can get. Our experience was tasty food (turkey escallop) and excellent service. It's a perfectly good place for a quick lunch on a cold day. It's not like you have to agonise over whether to have your wedding reception here.

The location is probably the best thing you'll get here. Unfortunately there are so many dishes and cuisines to choose from, that it lacks it's own identity. You can get Austrian, Italian, Indian and some other dish. The garlic soup was ok, but they could have put something more than just garlic and onion in it. And the tomato soup... More

It's in the tourist area, it's underground, its quaint. If you like Strauss music on continual loop and fake paintings on the wall. My issue was the food which was dreadful and expensive. Bearing in mind Austrian food is not one of the worlds best cuisines, I choose the schnitzel. It wasn't supposed to come with frites but instead it... More

This place is a fascinating hotch-potch of artifacts in a historic building which incorporates part of Salzburg's original city wall. The food is excellent, service friendly and efficient, and prices are reasonable. The cloakrooms overlook the Salzach. Definitely recommended.

We chose this place on a night that we were having trouble deciding where to eat. There were three of us in our group and each wanted something different. Zum Mohren offered a varied menu. The food was good. Very reasonably priced. The server was very personable and friendly. The only negative is that there is no outdoor eating space.... More

I am not in any way exaggerating when I say that I experienced the worst meal of my life in this restaurant. The menu is utterly confusing (the restaurant serves Austrian, Italian, and Indian food), the decor is tacky, overflowing, and lacking cohesion, and the waiters seemed distant and nonchalant. However, this is all nothing compared to the meal: I... More

A quaint little restaurant in the heart of the old town. I stopped in to have a quite bite to eat before going to a concert. I ordered the pumpkin soup, which was delicious. Can't fault the service and the place was very clean. Can't believe no one has mentioned the logo yet. Racist as hell.

The restaurant is in the city centre and serves authentic Indian food. The service is outstanding. We arrived late but were accommodated and served hot food. We had a great time and recommend everyone to have Indian food in Salzburg here only

After ordering, we were there over 30 minutes before we got food. When the food arrives, it tasted like it was reheated frozen. I'm sorry we went because there are quite a few other options in the area. I'd suggest going somewhere else.

What a find! This charming restaurant off a little passage way, down stairs, simply oozed charm & character. Offering delicious traditional food & Indian cuisine from the Indian owner, at good value. Nothing was too much trouble, the service was relaxed, happy & attentive. The food delicious. We couldn't manage dessert but others looked thoughtfully plated & delicious. The decor... More
