The atmosphere grabbed us when entering this small restaurant. Buzzy, arty, mixed with winter travellers like ourselves. Food was served quickly by friendly waiters and was like home cooking, tasty without being exceptional. Fish soup a meal in itself so we shared it, all portions were all generous and price mud range.

A really nice blend of the traditional Gasthof with a bit of modern bistro feel thrown in. lovely food, great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. All really good. The only minor improvement I could suggest is perhaps a wider selection of contemporary/craft beers, but that would be fine tuning.

We stumbled across Triangel and we are glad we did...the owner is usually present and he makes sure everyone is happy...started with the pate and fish soup. The fish soup is a homemade recipe and it is awesome! There were 6 of us and we had many different plates and everyone loved it...I had the stuffed pepper for Lunch and... More

Triangel is a bustling, lively cafe-restaurant close to the centre of the old city. Staff wearing local costume are friendly and helpful, and the service is very good. It's not a large space and at busy times you may be asked to share a table. The food is very tasty and well prepared. Clearly this is a popular place and... More

We ate here Christmas week and I'm happy to say the reviews are accurate! We had a few things off the seasonal menu, including an outstanding chestnut soup (quite rich but satisfying) and duck. The schnitzel did not disappoint and was served with a berry relish. We also ordered the trout and the beer broth (consomme) with pancakes. Very generous... More

We stumbled across Triangel after descending the funicular from the castle. We visited from U.K. with our family (kids aged 6&3). It proved to be an excellent lunch. The waiter provided a box of toys for the young and local beers for mum & dad. Our eldest loved the chestnut soup and other Austrian fare. Prices were reasonable and we... More

What a wonderful evening we had in this restaurant. Busy for a Monday night, we got sat on a table with the owner and his friends. Instantly, we were welcomed, got chatting and made to feel at home. The chicken liver starter was to die for, incredible flavours. I got the duck breast, and my girlfriend got the veal thins,... More
