Super tasty and well presented. The menu is varied so there's a good choice. Good service and there's no rush.

We went to Gasthof Wessels Rossl the first evening we were in Innsbruck and it was a wonderful introduction. We did not have a reservation but they went out of their way to find a table for 2, saying they had a reservation for the table for 8 pm but we could have it at 6:30 if we wished. We... More

We were very tempted to have lunch in the modern restaurant at street level at the same address however when in Austria....so we headed up a flight of stairs and found ourselves transported back to old school Tirol. Our waitress was very friendly and apologized for what she seemed to think was a hungover chef. We had no problem with... More

We saw this on TripAdvisor and decided to check it out. Luckily we were able to get a table for lunch, despite it being very busy. My fiancé had the goulash and I had the house bratwurst which were both very good. The staff were pleasant and accommodating for our lack of understanding of the language (which we really appreciated).

If you want trad Austrian grub, look no further than here. The upstairs restaurant - tucked away in the Altstadt close to the Inn River - is a series of wood clad rooms all moodily lit. The menu is fairly basic but we were pleased by the Hauspfandl & the Gröstl. The Kaiserschmarren to share as dessert was probably a... More

My Husband and I saw the TA reviews and decided this was a must. Food was very traditional, reasonable and tasty. We will be going back. Staff very hospitable, we did not make reservation but they found us a nice place to sit. Very warm, cosy, rustic.

We went to WR as a recommendation from another restaurant (that was full and we had no reservations for). The staff was quite accommodating and nice to us. The restaurant was full so we got to wait in the hotel's bar downstairs for about 40 minutes. The wait was totally worth it. Food was delicious as was the desert. I... More

Found this place from the TripAdv reviews. Most are spot on. Nice location in the middle of old town. Traditional fare with good service. I had the pork schnitzel with spatzel and was very pleased. You won't be disappointed.
